As a Christian all my life I would question when people would say “ God told me “. I never quite understood this concept of “ hearing from God”. This book helps you know the difference in the voice of God versus the voice of the enemy. It helps you get in touch with your spirit and your soul. It explains these concepts and clears up any confusion you may have. Joyce Meyer has an incredible testimony and she uses it to help connect to the reader in a unique way. She uses her downfalls to connect instead of condemning the reader. This book helped me have a better relationship with God, that will ultimately impact the way I live my life!

It's funny how God gives you just what you need to hear/read at the precise time you need it. That was this book. I've been struggling with an issue for a few months and hearing God, but what I was hearing wasn't what I wanted so I kept figuring I must just be wrong. I kept asking my friend, "Has God said anything to you about me?" She kept telling me, "No, I haven't heard anything." I was feeling so crazy for what I kept hearing God say and what's worse is he kept telling me to wait and trust him, which is very hard for me to do because I like action! I opened this book and in the first few chapters it said not to ask other people what God wanted you to hear. Why not ask God himself? It was as if God pointed out certain sentences as if to say, "See, you have been hearing me all along." Even scripture verses that Joyce quoted were ones I had been drawn to in my Bible the past few months. Thank you to Joyce for writing this because it was exactly what I needed.

Joyce always speaks and writes to the point. This book helped me in a time when I needed to hear from God, and I have given it to some of my friends to read too. Definitely worth the read.
