“Jupiter” by Thomas K. Adamson is a work of nonfiction. The book describes and tells facts about Jupiter, the gas giant of our solar system. This book is intended for ages 4 and up, and has not won any awards. This book was one of my favorites growing up, since Jupiter is my favorite planet. The images were intriguing, and there were so many interesting facts about this planet included. Young readers can learn more about the gas giant's big red spot that holds an intense storm and that it has no hard surface. It is informative, and I would use this book in a science class setting for children. I rate this book 5 stars.
My 6 year old son borrowed this book from his school library.
This book describes Jupiter's size, surface, color, and moons. My son needed help with some of the words and understanding the information. Has nice, colorful photographs.
