"En las cercanías vivía un derviche muy renombrado que pasaba por ser el mejor filósofo de Turquía. Fueron a consultarle y Pangloss le dijo:

En explorant Micromégas je m'ai trouvé souvent proie de l'attendrissement de lire sur quelques affaires scientifiques qu'aujourd'hui nous semblent très apparents et même puérils, mais qu'à l'époque étaient des connaissances de pointe réservées aux hommes sages.

una critica de Voltaire a leibniz, y con algunos pasajes bastante ciertos. con un optimismo excedente de parte del señor pangloss, candido pasa
muchas aventuras, si se le pueden llamar asi. y claro, con algunos hechos inverosimiles. Aunque para aplicar a estos tiempos
algunas cosas de esta obra, queda la pregunta, es necesario tanto optimismo hacia la vida y el futuro?, o no queda nada más

Candide : Pas spécialement agréable au premier sens du terme. On suit les aventures d'un protagoniste "Candide" qui frôle la stupidité pour la plupart du temps. Le nom des chapitres est spoilant pour la plupart du temps. Point positif : la petite taille des chapitres qui permet une trame narrative dynamique.

Micromegas is very special story since it is also one of the detector names used at CERN, LHC experiment. Voltaire's château is very close to CERN area, it is just by one bus, Y. Amazing world of micro and macro, even physics has still this problem to combine micro (quantum) and macro scales.. Very nice glance to philosophy of science for me.
