I’m surprised by the multiple negative reviews. I really enjoyed this book. The illustrations were charming, and I really liked how much it covered like the meet-cute ultrasound. (My own baby waved in one of her ultrasound pics like the baby in the illustration so that really brought back fond memories; we felt such a wave of love seeing her little hand greeting us.) It even had an illustration of a same sex couple with adoption papers so I felt that broadened the book’s relatability to both those types of families which may not see as much representation in books. I also thought it was cute how there’s a cat that appears in every single illustration (which I didn’t notice until multiple reads in), so looking for it could be a fun extra mini activity for a toddler.
