Electronic Textual Editing

Although the contributors come from diverse disciplines and institutions around the world, this collection reflects an emerging consensus about the fundamental issues of electronic textual editing. The 24 essays address markup coding and procedures, electronic archive administration, use of standards, rights and permissions, and the changing environment of the internet. The guidelines of the Modern Language Association for scholarly editions are included in full. The accompanying CD contains the complete text of the Text Encoding Initiative guidelines (P4 edition) in HTML and PDF formats. Annotation ©2007 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)

I had planned to read this book I got from the library, but as I read the introduction and started skimming the book, it became clear just how focused on scholarly writing this was. But I did skim the whole thing, both the conceptual and the procedural sections, to know what it offered. Does look outstanding, but not on the topic I had hoped!
