To be fair, I actually read the comic online. However, it was really good. I want more. The story is about a space ship that has a new kind of jump engine installed and then tested.
Trike
This is much better than I expected. Not because of any foreknowledge of Tallan's work, but because graphic novels dealing with sci-fi tend to leave something to be desired. The art rather reminds me of Spaec Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers in the US) while the story is more Star Trek. It's a nice blend, actually.

The characters are distinct enough so you can kind of anticipate how they'll react to certain situations, which generally means that any roughness in the writing will eventually smooth

Can you tell a SF adventure story without blowing a lot of things up and destroying a planet or two? In a graphic novel? Ms. Tallan certainly can.

Galaxion Vol 1 is the first three chapters of the Galaxion web comic (http://galaxioncomics.com/), following a fun and eclectic group of characters, mostly the crew of the Galaxion, through the test of a new hyperspace jump drive and the events that happen after. There are also 20 or so pages of extras after the story.

The art, the pacing, the story ... everything in the newest version of Galaxion is superior to the older version. Everything except the surprises (at least, until we get past where the comic left off)....
