Human Design For Business: Discover Your Unique Blueprint to Build a Business and Life You Love

Rate this book
Discover your unique blueprint to build a business and life you love. Human Design is nine different modalities built into one system to catapult entrepreneurs and their businesses forward by giving them the insight they need to understand themselves, their clients and how they are designed to operate in the world. Entrepreneurs are exhausted from the trial and error of the one-size-fits all advice for building a business, which doesn’t take into consideration who they are as a person, their unique strengths, and how they authentically want to show up in support of their clients. This ultimately leaves entrepreneurs feeling overwhelmed, overworked, and battling the dreaded burnout. Many secretly want to burn it all to the ground and start over again. Human Design For Business shows how to understand one’s personality, decision making style, energy & body management, as well as how best to process information, how best to interact with others, and how to cultivate an aligned and joyful personalized business ecosystem. Ditch the soul-sucking “shoulds” of traditional business advice and take a journey into the depths of yourself to understand what makes you unique, so you can learn, leverage and live life in alignment with who you are meant to be.

The first part of this book deals with human design 101 so the reader can understand their own essence and eventually how to apply it to the business world.

As someone who has already done a lot of research on human design, I almost skipped this section but I’m glad I didn’t. I feel like there are some interesting insights and explanations in this section I haven’t read before that connected some dots for me, particularly in the section on the centers. It’s clear this is a big area of passion for the author. I think for myself the part about the centers was the most helpful section and I wish there had been even more.

I do think it’s important to note that if you don’t understand the basics of human design first, it’s probably helpful to get that information somewhere else first. While the author does cover the basics, I felt like there was missing context in a few places that might make it difficult for a beginner to follow. If you have no human design knowledge, I worry these instances might be stumbling blocks to getting through the whole book.

The second part of this book is about understanding how to use your design to start thinking about how to design your business (with the assumption that you are an entrepreneur). This is just an intro, which I think is fine. There is so much information about human design that it’s impossible to fit it all in a book. The author offers in-depth courses of the reader wants more information. This book is really to get the gears turning about how human design can play into business so they can start to play around with it, and I felt like it did a good job of that.

There is a workbook that goes with this book that I admittedly don’t have. It’s possible that some of my concerns are addressed via the workbook and that I might have gotten more out of it if I had done it. I’m certainly curious enough after reading this to check the workbook out and see if that adds even more depth to what I picked up the first time around.

It's hard to describe how much I loved this book! The descriptions, uses, and way that Jamie narrowed it down, gave me a whole new perspective and view on my own chart but in readings for others as well! I easily could not put it down and most of the time reading it, I found myself ecstatic and sending screen shots to my partner! It has opened up an entirely new way of reading charts for others and we are even more excited to start working ourselves with the author!

I lucked out being a 3:5 emotional projector reading this, the same as the author. Invited to read it by a generator, of course. I found this to be relatable and fun, getting to read certain parts that relate t you and move on faster through the overall book. Or read throughout to better understand others in your life. The reminder of deferring to strategy and authority is one I am taking to heart more than I have in the past. Actionable and light read.
