A mixed bag - the psalm-like religious poems and dialogues with death are pretty great, but the romantic poems are icky insofar as the poet keeps naming his lust as love while never elevating his girlfriends from objects to actual characters.

A great collection of Kevin Hart's poems over a period of 25 year from 1975-2000. It includes my favourite poems Gypsophila and Peniel just to mention a couple. But there are plenty of others that draw me in and keep me re-reading them.
