I've caught back up with this series now (thank you, library), and have read volumes 5, 6, and 7. This series is...interesting. It has plot holes a mile wide (why has *no one* contacted authorities in all this mess? where are the responsible adults? oh, wait...there aren't any) and hook after hook that comes up empty. If I didn't expect this to happen, if I didn't understand this type of story, I'd feel a little used for having read it. It's not fair to the reader to take advantage like this whe ...more

Tsubasa arranges to meet with "K" at the place Arisa and Midori went to on Arisa's last birthday. Since Tsubasa doesn't know where that is, she's forced to ask Midori. She's shocked when (view spoiler) ...more

Arisa is a multiple layered story with mystery elements. I highly recommend starting at the beginning and reading in order.

** This review contains no spoilers for Arisa 7 but will of course have them for previous volumes. **

The twists and turns of volume 6 left Tsubasa with both new information about the beginning of King Time and even more questions. The mysterious K at the other end of Arisa's chatroom might be Tsubasa's best lead on the King yet, but impersonating her sister is getting harder

4 stars for Arisa volume 7

Plot and Thoughts

Tsubasa is going to meet the mysterious "k" at that 'special' place where she had her first date with what's-his-face boyfriend....Midori?. Tsubasa finds Midori there. Midori tells her that Kudo told him that she wanted to meet him there. Kudo, there is no way that he is the King (personal opinion since he was introduced) and Tsubasa autopilots into shouting "ARE YOU THE KING?" She likes doing that. lol
Anyhow, Kudo takes over the King time as the repres

Series Rating: 3.5Stars (first few volumes are 4 Stars)

I read this series in one sitting, which is quite telling in itself. However I will say now that the story does lag a bit after a few volumes and loses something of the great set up it had at the beginning. That said, the author Natsumi Ando is good at ending chapters/volumes with cliff-hangers. So you get to the end of one book and immediately want to pick up the next one. (Case in point – me.)

The art is excellent and was part of the reason

Oh, gosh, I'm still just totally hooked on this silly series! Although I will admit that I'm kind of ready for Ando to start winding things up--I think she's getting close. My favorite part about this volume was getting to see Takeru again, albeit a younger version--I've missed him since Tsubasa's been spending all of her time with Manabe lately. :(

(view spoiler) I think I've been reading this series all wrong; I thought it was a mystery when it's actually a pretty straightforward story. Je suis disappoint. 3 stars

More of what you've come to expect from Arisa. What really made this particular volume worth while to read was the bonus chapter.
