I can’t hire her.

The woman has no boundaries, no filters, and no freaking limits.

And my overwhelming desire to plow her would likely prove problematic if she became my assistant.

Bo Luxom is everything I never knew I wanted in a woman.

She’s sugar and spice, and she's stronger than I could ever pretend to be despite all my efforts… She’s also eight-months round because her “breeding kink went too far,” and it’s doing things to me.

Down on her luck, Bo needs this job — and as much as she’ll hate admitting it, she needs me too.
But I need her more.

Basically allergic to life, I've subsisted on a lonely diet of exclusion and restrictions with my only strength coming from maintaining total control.
Dominance and rules were my only tools until Bo took the lead and gave me something better — something I’ve always coveted. Kindness.

It’s the most potent weapon of seduction I’ve ever encountered, and I'm hooked.
I will kneel at her feet if she wills it. For her, I’ll surender my ordered life into beautiful chaos.

She’s everything I’ve spent a lifetime avoiding so I could remain strong, but I opened my locked doors for a beautiful stranger, and now I’m in the weakest position imaginable…

I’m f*¢king in love.
And I’ll do anything to keep her.

This full-length, erotic romance is a sweet and filthy read full of quirky humor and all the feels.

Seriously. It’s a fun and spicy kink-fest and there's no skimping on the feels. It’s both hot and cute as hell.

Inside you’ll find an insta-love tale about Thaddeus Montgomery — a big, beardy, and tormented billionaire, and Bo, his fertile goddess in curvy armor who nurtures his wounded soul through a multitude of steamy antics that unravel him to his very core.

The story contains an HEA and multiple graphic sex scenes that include power play, fisting, stretching, lactation kink, breeding kink, butt stuff, and the all-important ingredient of achingly beautiful and downright dirty love. Enjoy! ♥

Potential triggers: Both main characters have experienced physical, emotional, and sexual trauma as young people and continue to heal through this relationship.

Confession time. When I first saw Intolerance I mistook it for another book with some badly written kinky smut and I was down for that. Um. That’s not how Intolerance turned out to be at all. Mind you, this is the first book I’ve read by Elena Dawne so I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I started reading. All I knew was lactation kink. Turns out I’ve added a new-to-me author to my growing list of favorite authors.

Thaddeus Montgomery (AHS anyone?) is one of the cutest men I’ve ever read about. His ranting and trying to over explain things was adorable. He is socially stunted. There isn’t a lot of mysophobia representation in books or media the only ones I can think of are “Ten Count” and “As Good a s It Gets”. So it was nice to see it here. And there are 16 brothers! I can’t wait to read their stories!

Spice level (1-5): 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Kink level (1-3): ⛓️⛓️⛓️ cum play, lactation kink, fisting, degradation, preg kink, Good Boy etc

Bo needs a job, like yesterday. She’s homeless and eight months pregnant and her qualifications don’t give her many options. She takes a chance and calls Thaddeus Montgomery for the position of Personal Assistant he advertised. The call doesn’t go as planned and she ends up giving Thaddeus a piece of her mind. Single-handedly ruining her chances of getting the job, not that she had a chance to begin with. Thaddeus feels horrible that he offhandedly insulted Bo over the phone. His guilt goes so deep he even goes out to the public library to apologize. Suddenly hit with the realization of what he’s gotten himself into he has a mini panic attack. Bo, cool as a cucumber, expertly manages to calm his nerves. Could he possibly hire her now that he wants her assistance with things that are no where near appropriate for their professional relationship?

I would recommend Intolerance to anyone who wants to extend their horizons. If you like exploring and unlocking new kinks, tormented MMC, feisty perceptive FMC, found family, all the kinks, the awkward, you’ll love Intolerance. Read the trigger warnings. This book does contain mentions of child abuse/neglect, messing with contraceptives, kinks, family drama and mentions of ploys against a parent. For the lovers of the weird and kinky this one is for you!

Warning: Reading Intolerance may make you glad your food has flavor and variety. May make you want to keep his d;ck in solitary confinement. May make you want to go to a library. May make you apply for a job you don’t qualify for. May make you want to get mugged so a hot guy can help you. May make you wonder when “an undesirable dick thrusting contagion upon your eyeballs” would occur. May make you not want to know what your throat will feel like after swallowing a thorny dragon d;ick. May make you glad you won’t lose a fight to a sandwich. May make you not want to go dumpster diving. May make you a little nauseous of eating a dumpster doughnut. Read responsibly.

Weirdly specific fantasy achieved

There's a show that's not super popular, but also I don't think it's that obscure called "Monk". I've never been attracted to the actor, because, well...

But the most neurotic character I've ever seen on TV is also the most romantic.

This is an arc review
Unfortunately I had to dnf around 30% in

I’ve previously read books by this author that I absolutely loved and read all in one sitting so was super excited for this book. However I just felt like this book wasn’t for me unfortunately.
I understand that the MC’s are meant to be quirky and chaotic which is fine but for me it also made the writing itself abit chaotic. Which then made it hard for me to read. I’d often find myself rereading certain sections as I just couldn’t figure out what had happened.
I understand that this was somewhat intentional as I understand that the author wanted to portray these characters in this way but for me it just wasn’t as enjoyable as previous work. I didn’t have any other issues with the book besides this but it was hard to get past for me.

A little information before my review. I was writing this as I was reading, thinking that I was going to finish.

‼️MAY HAVE POSSIBLE SPOILERS‼️

MCs:
Thaddeus/Thaddy (30-ish)
Bo (27)

Tropes/What to Expect:
Pregnant but not his (8 months)
Billionaire MMC
Both w/ dark pasts
Homeless FMC

Info:
Dual 1st person POV
No virgins (no manwhore? / see note)
Open door spice
Lactation kink
Dom/Sub

*note: MMC*
H has extreme allergies, is a germaphobic/mysophobic, has OCD, anxiety, social anxiety, etc.

*note: FMC*
h is pregnant by her ex that tampered with her BC (she dumped him after she found out)

*note: MMC*
H had three women he saw on a semi-regular basis that would go through his process before hooking up. It’s kinda hard to explain, so I’ll just put the quotes.

“I mean that usually, nobody comes anywhere near me without being vetted and prepared. I meet women online, using an alias. I explain my requirements as a fetish, and then I communicate with those who show an interest to see if we’re compatible enough for further interactions. Then there’s the bloodwork and medical screening process and the formulation of how the scene will play out. A thorough cleansing is always the first clause of expectations included in the written agreement regarding the terms of our engagement. A surprising number of women appreciate being bathed by a detail-oriented man.”

“You don’t need to be worried about anyone being jealous, Bo. I’m not exactly a catch. If I were, I’d be the kind that’s thrown back. The three submissive women I see on a semi-regular basis understand that they’re only ever here for one thing — a controlled, mutually beneficial transaction. Nothing more.”

My thoughts:

I had high expectations for this book…and it did not meet them.

I HATED when after their first “hookup” he felt bad for all she had to go through, and he was insecure after their first kiss, so he gives her a wad of cash (because sometimes that was the only way he could get girls). That really hurt to read, and I almost hard DNF’ed. He didn’t kiss her till after their “hookup” because neither had brushed their teeth, and when they did, she felt something more and got spooked and left. This was his reason for the cash ⬇️

“I didn’t mean to make you feel like a whore.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Maybe a little,” he admits. “But I’m sorry for it. It wasn’t my original intention when I got the cash to give you, but I was an idiot. I was hurting, and I lashed out. It was immature and passive-aggressive, and it was a shitty thing to do. I didn’t want to be the one who felt used and rejected, so I put it on you, but I should have handled it differently. All I really wanted was to make sure you had enough money to be okay if I never saw you again.”

He does go after her and get on his knees in the middle of the street, begging her to come back and apologizes. I still hate him for that, and I don’t plan on forgiving him. No one should ever feel the need to do that.

I don’t like that he had random mindless sex with women and had no feelings (feelings would be worse, I get that), but to me it gave kind of manwhore?? It did and it didn’t. It’s like, “I need some sex. Let me call one of my girls.” 🥴

I also don’t like his nickname. Let’s be honest, Thaddy sounds a lot like Daddy, so when she would say it all the time, it sounded like a giant daddy kink (which I don’t like).

All of his “issues” (that’s what he calls them) did get kind of repetitive and annoying at times, and some of the things he required Bo to do would have hurt my own feelings.

The smut. Oh the smut. SO cringy. For examples: “fat cock," “dirty bitch," "whore," "slut," etc. These were all the things the FMC would say. Also, as of right now, she’s the only one pursuing the relationship (physically), and the MMC is too scared to do anything.

I stopped reading in the middle of a smut scene when I realized how grossed out I was and all the faces I was making.

I get this is supposed to be kinky, but it was just gross, cringy, and disappointing.

This book is the first in the series for me, as the first book focuses on Cyrus and Daisy and I didn’t read that. Intolerant focuses on Cyrus’ brother Thaddeus, and his love interest Bo. Thaddeus has billions, but he also has OCD and needs to live a very particular and orderly life. Anything out of the ordinary sends Thaddy into a tailspin, trying to find safety and normalcy just so he can function. Bo lives a very unconventional life and while she’s unexpected, she absolutely changes Thaddy’s life for the better.

I don’t know what I was expecting, but this book was both heartwarming and sexy and kinky at the same time. Bo is 8 months pregnant and looking for a job, as she’s leaving her ex because he tampered with her BC and now she’s trying to figure out where to go in her life. She’s so desperate for a job that she’s answered an ad for someone who’s looking for breast milk because of allergies but also calling to find work as a personal assistant. Very different jobs but she’s desperate for work and some consistency before the baby comes. When she calls about the personal assistant job, she meets Thaddeus, and their conversation only serves to make them curious about the other person on the line. Theirs is not a meet cute, but it brings them together nonetheless and they each benefit from meeting each other.

I think Bo is such a strong character. I like how she stands up for herself, but she’s also very sensitive to Thaddeus’ needs. She’s gentle with him, doesn’t make fun of him, and is always encouraging. Thaddeus is pretty sweet, and he truly steps out of his comfort zone in order to love Bo. I think what’s endearing is that they both accept the other as who they are and that there is no judgment, and they just want to support and be there for the other. I’m looking forward to the other brothers’ books!

I really enjoyed Daisy Unchained. I was able to embrace the chaotic and the erotica was delicious.

This was...something else. Idk but it wasn't it. Both MCs were impulsive and erratic, and I felt a lot of emotional turmoil for the MMC about his mental illness and trauma because he wasn't a very resilient person.

The FMC was pregnant and when she gave birth at the end of the book I felt like I had given birth. By that I mean extreme relief that it was over and like my insides were fucked up in a bad way.

I shall still read all of Elena Dawne's books because I have the mind of a chaotic slut.

A romance FB group recommended this book. I thought I’d try it out since it’s on KU. Overall the characters and spice is ok but the author skims over the MFC being raised in a cult and the MMC being abused by his father. Idk felt like I was missing out on parts of the story but they weren’t even written.

“I’m your fertile little slut, and I need to be teeming with cum. I want to be walking around on all fours, dripping. Do you understand?”

“Yes. Fuck your fertile whore.”

I can't do it. I skimmed around to see if I could hang in there and it's not for me. I knew going in this would be smutty kink and the premise intrigued me but lord the dirty talk and dialogue is off the wall cringe and awful. The hero and heroine oddly become 1 dimensional cartoons whenever they start fucking because the dialogue is g-d awful. I don't ever want to read words like "spew" and "jizz" when it comes to bodily fluids during sex. There's filthy dirty talk and then there's trashy nasty talk that makes you want to shudder and say TMI. This is very much that. This book has all kinds of kinks and I get lactation kink but.... the heroine baby talking to the hero and him responding like a damn infant weirded me THE HELL OUT. When she's more concerned about reproducing more milk for the hero than her newborn baby is when it no longer feels sexy and starts to feel way beyond a sexual kink IMO. She's not a cow. These two need a therapist who loves a challenge, not titty sucking. And the hero's nickname "Thaddy" sounds very close to "Daddy" and it felt very intentional. All the "no's" were raining down on my head. Pass.
“The more you suck, the more I’ll make, and this is Day One of milking — the day my body doesn’t yet know how much we’ll need. Tell my body we need a lot of milk, Thaddy.”

“Mmm. That’s my thirsty boy. You give me a whole different feeling than a baby, Thaddy. Once my pussy recovers from Tornado Ruthie, I’m going to need you to do this while you’re fucking me.”

Eight months pregnant and homeless, Bo (h) is desperate for a job and applies for two positions not realizing both are actually with the same man to satisfy very difference needs. Thaddeus (H), a difficult, reclusive billionaire with lots of allergies and OCD habits, isn’t sure about the feisty and controlling woman who seems to know just how to handle him. He finds himself opening to her like no one else despite his past trauma. Bo just gets Thaddeus and is so amazing at seeing what he needs. Ultra-hot and steamy sexy action with lots of kinks – breeding, lactation, fisting, fem dom, and more. So amazing how the characters grow throughout their journey together. Funny, sweet, kinky read.

The dirty talk wasn't written well.

Thaddeus was like Monk...only if Monk was somehow smoking hot, had allergies to everything but somehow that doesn't keep him from fucking (which, come on, bodily fluids are #1 dirtiest thing if you're a germaphobe but they even have a sort of snow balling scene).

I loved when Bo was assertive with him. Hated that she was described as waddling all the time. Got the book for the lactation kink which was good until the post delivery scene.

Their names were annoying. Bo Luxom. Thaddeus Montgomery. And his extended family with all their "upper crust" aka pompous names. And why did their full names have to be repeated over and over?

Then Bo suffers from pride stupidity. She's homeless. He offers her money, she throws a tantrum. Why??? Was she not at some point begging for a job? Then towards the end it's thrown in that she was basically in a cult, a give-me-your-young-daughters-to-deflower cult. That and the fact that the biological baby daddy messed with her contraception but she was still undecided about the baby while 8 months along?! Very unrealistic. Very God will provide manenos.

Also the story should have come to an end way sooner/should have been shorter.

3.5 The Holy Grail of Pussy Stars ⭐

There's a cheekiness behind this author's writing that I thoroughly enjoy. She goes where others are afraid to venture (romance + debauchery) which makes for exceptional reading; well in my opinion anyway. And I will add, there are author warnings for a reason, so read them! It’s just unfortunate in this instance I didn’t love the couple…

“It wasn’t a lie. You do seem okay to me. Did I say you don’t have issues? No. Clearly you do. What I said was: you seem okay to me. As in, I don’t give a fuck about your issues. See the difference?”

Intolerant introduces us to reclusive businessman Thaddy. I mean you'll not meet a man with more issues than this dude. Germophobic, anxiety, food allergies, people allergies, the poor bastard is a disaster. And now he's figured out that he has a lactation kink?! Yep you've read this correctly. He desperately needs a break!

It's true when my mama told me that there's somebody for everyone out there. Trust me, I know. My poor husband ended up with me! So in this instance, Thaddy meets a ball busting homeless pregnant woman. Can I say I'm unsure if I liked her? Bo was a lot. I appreciated her assertiveness but not so much her candor.

I need a job, but being around you makes me want dick more, and the way my hormones are right now, I’m probably going to accidentally sexually harass you most days, so… let me make this decision for you. I’m proposing we forget about the ‘hiring me’ thing and instead consider some sort of… lovers.

Our girl was dominant and completely confident in her sexuality. But for me I wanted a softer version of Bo. I understood the dynamics, I just didn’t like them. The story itself was good and the kink off the charts. Just not my favourite by this smutastic author.

So sometimes you read a story because the blurb really grips you with its description. Other times, that Curious kinky-cat that lives in the back of your mind scratches at your subconscious when it sees new kinky fun things that it may be "into". Hence why you now have mentally unlocked all sorts of excited filthy, debauched things that you didn't even know you were into. Who knew?!?

Now, the kink list just kept growing as i read because i was delighted by so much of what i read. There are plenty of things that can be a triggers or disturbing also, based on viewer discretion but for me I'm not a kink-shamer. Though I may never look at milk the same.

Hot damn who would have thought things related to pregnancy could be so sexy. I wish I would have known about just half of this sexy pregnancy and lactation kinks. All I felt like was a whale, but to know that there was something about it that got someone's engine going. Alas. This FMC, she even takes care of her Good Boy too like a Mommy should. So Hot.

This book is full of kink firsts for me as it's the first time I've read something from the author. The best part is that there are like 12 or 16 brothers so there is a potential for that many more smutty-funtimes books. I can't wait for all those first.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Book 58 of 2024

After reading @DaisyUnchained and being surprisingly drawn into the taboo read, I decided to keep going with the series to see what else @ElenaDawne would throw at me. I have to say, there was something really unique about this book, and in the best possible way. I love when I read a storyline that has something new (and I’m not talking about introducing a new kink). I have never read a story about a true germaphobe, and I just fell in love with Thaddeus. I loved his little ticks and how they evolved and how Bo handled them. I loved the interactions between them both because clearly they both had trauma and there was a good storyline here in how they helped each other overcome those.

Was it a little extreme? Possibly. It happened very fast, and Bo’s homelessness and how she came into Thaddeus’ life was quite rushed. I mean, it was almost jarring how the book started out. But you know what, I overlooked that for their story as a whole. I love that we got cameos from Cyrus and Daisy, and how the whole family of brothers supported Thaddeus and Bo moving forward. I couldn’t help but enjoy this one – and their chemistry was off the charts. Whew. I can’t imagine what @ElenaDawne is going to write next, but you can bet I am going to keep on going and see where this journey takes me.

3.5 stars

I didn’t realize this book was part of a series (although it can definitely be read as a standalone) so if you’re one of those people who’s a stickler for reading books in order, you might want to start with “Daisy Unchained” by this author (I haven’t read it yet, but I think now I might).

This book started off going from 0 - 60 in 0.5 chapters and I felt at first like I was missing out on some backstory (which in retrospect, I was) but by the 2nd chapter things settled down and I caught up quickly.

That being said, I really enjoyed this overall. The book is well written, the characters are likeable and unique, the dialogue is engaging and witty, and the smut is hot. I especially loved Thaddy’s character and how he expresses himself.

A couple of things that brought it down to 3.5 stars (for me) were: the amount of smut…80% smut and 20% story. Even though it was well done the sheer amount of it made it a little overwhelming. And there were a couple of scenes with very ‘unnecessary’ drama (my biggest pet peeve is drama due to a simple lack of communication) which frustrated me. But that might be more of a, “it’s me not you” thing.

Overall I enjoyed and would definitely recommend this!

Absolutely love the relationship between Bo and Thaddeus. These two were fated to meet one way or another. How they meet was interesting.

Thaddeus learns about his oldest brothers relationship with their stepsister Daisy. He also learns about their milking kink and becomes curious if he could consume breast milk since he is allergic to some many things. He sneaks a bottle from Cy's fridge to try and learns he isn't allergic to the breast milk and that has now peaked his interest in milking.

Bo hasn't had an easy life especially when you learn her ex messed with her birth control and got her pregnant without her consent. She meets Thaddeus while she is several months pregnant. He fully accepts her pregnancy.

Thaddeus has a lot going on like not liking to leave his home, doesn't like being around people, germaphobe and a long list of allergies. Bo doesn't judge him. Just accepts him and everything he has going on, which surprises him in so many ways. Their relationship grows quickly and its a beautiful thing to read as well as learning they both have an abundance of kinks.

Also enjoyed Cyrus & Daisy being part of the story and getting to learn about a few of their other brothers.

This felt longer than it actually was

This book turned out to be completely different than how I expected. We obviously weren’t given any type of warning about Cyrus’ brothers and I wish we were. Because Thaddy wasn’t the type of MMC I was expecting.
I don’t particularly enjoy reading about leads with compulsive disorders, like OCD. Mainly because I can FEEL their anxiety when things aren’t done they way they want. And it just makes an unpleasant experience.
Bo was a phenomenal female lead. She wasn’t shy and never once judged Thaddy for who he was. And even made sure to double check his needs. The breeding kink listed I felt wasn’t fully explored, but it hints at it. The lactation kink was more of a fantasy and towards the end. And the back and forth between them in the beginning kind of made it drag. By the time we got to the spice, it just seemed so long. Overall, I didn’t enjoy this as much as book one. But if the author hinted at the next brother story’s the way I think they did, I’m definitely interested.

***Please note that this review is mainly for my benefit as it is more of a summary of the book and may contain spoilers.***

He has severe anxiety, germaphobia, possible agoraphobia, and many allergies. He posts two wanted ads: one for an assistant and one for a breastmilk supplier.
She is 8 months pregnant, homeless, jobless, VERY curvy, and plus sized. She applies to his two ads, unknowing that they are by the same poster.
After a phone interview, which does not go well, he rushes to the library to see her. He comes to her aid when she is robbed. There's immediate attraction. Things progress quickly. They get married and live happily ever after.
The emotional journey was amazing. I WILL be reading more by this author.

So deserving of happiness Thaddeus

This is book two of the series and there are a lot of brothers. Book one belonged to Cyrus and the sweet Daisy. Thaddeus is in the kitchen during a family dinner at Cyrus’ home. As we learned from book one, Thaddeus has quite the numerous food allergies and limits his personal interactions with other people. Well Daisy is in the kitchen and then enters Cyrus. Their close and touchy behavior is surprising to Thaddeus but he finds out about their relationship, that they are trying to keep under wraps. Cyrus asks Thaddeus to keep this to himself. Cyrus makes a suggestion to Thaddeus that he look to find someone to help him with his interests in breast milk and lactation. At first Thaddeus does not consider this a real possibility but the more that he ponders the possibilities, it may work. Enter Bo Luxom, the pregnant woman to answer his advertisement. Her name has to be a play on words from the author. Their journey together begin here. . . . Read On!

I read this through KU, but then bought it to keep it in my library. I found myself smiling through much of the story. Thaddy is dealing with mental illness stemming from trauma, and it's refreshing to have a MMC that is so different. He is OCD and maybe even ASD. Socially stunted and so many quirks. Bo is kind and considerate of his needs, which Thaddy hasn't encountered before. He hides from the world in order to not be judged a freak. Bo quickly realizes that although Thaddy has been dom to mask his OCD needs in previous encounters, he is more sub looking for approval. She is feisty and just what he needs. The kinks are mostly new to me, but well-written. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Thaddy realize that a lot of his quirks aren't worth giving up Bo. He goes outside his comfort zone to the point of near death to show her she is more important than his mental illness, and she can trust him to love her. Love is healing. Love is acceptance.

I liked both characters. The heroine is 8 months pregnant with her ex boyfriend's baby. That ex tampered with her birth control which is why she got pregnant. So she is homeless and jobless.

The hero is allergic to many things and is afraid to leave his apartment. He has groceries delivered and obsessively wipes them down and constantly uses sanitizer in his own home.

They meet when she calls him about an assistant position and he refuses to hire her. She said she was using the internet at a local library so he drives to the library to see her which was difficult for him to do.

He needs to constantly clean her and feed her and make sure she's taken care of. He also likes drinking breast milk directly from her breasts.

He is obsessed with her from the moment they meet. His brothers are so happy he found someone who loves him with all of his quirks.
