Muito me arrependo de não ter lido antes Mario Quintana e a poesia brasileira modernista em geral. Meu primeiro contato com eles foi com Cecília Meireles há coisa de ano e meio e nos últimos meses tenho me deparado com gigantes como Mario Bandeira, Drummond, Menotti Del Picchia

os poetas sempre sabem falar do tempo e da passagem do tempo, aquilo que marca a vida e ao mesmo tempo fica só nesse lado, quando atravessamos para o outro, obscuro.

O meu conhecimento sobre Mario Quintana sempre se limitou a poemas avulsos. Lia um, encontrava outro, sabia mais um de cor. Essa foi a primeira vez que li um livro seu do começo ao fim e tive uma sensação de "passou e nem senti". Reconheci alguns poemas, mas os demais não me tocaram. Talvez tenha sido a seleção, talvez tenha sido o meu momento. De qualquer forma, continuo gostando do Mario Quintana e sua imensa delicadeza.
