When I'm not up to my knees in nappies, I write children's books. I also spend a fair amount of time eating chocolate. I try to write funny, read-aloud books that parents will enjoy as much as children - after all, if you have to share the same stories umpteen times, you may as well enjoy them.
I hope you like my books enough to read them umpteen times. Thank you - Michelle.

Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Kids, Sourcebooks Wonderland for accepting my request to read and review Goodnight Princess.

This is a miss for me. The illustrations are pretty, I like the color palette. I like that my eye was drawn to a bright color and the rest of the graphics were appropriate, but a bit muted. It made telling the story interesting.

As far as the story goes, I wasn't impressed. The intended target 1-3 year olds. Princesses, rings, and kings, are not explainable at that age. Puppies, kittens and teddy bears I can see.

I'm going 2.5 stars, the illustrations are worth a look.

I read this book with my three year old and he loved it. He is going through a Princess phase right now so this was perfect for him! The illustrations were lovely and went perfectly along with the story. I look forward to reading this with my son again and sharing it with my daughter when she is older. This will become a go to bedtime book for us.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early copy of this book!

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks kids and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

A rhyming picture book of a little princess saying goodnight to everything before bed. This was super adorable with really stunning illustrations on each page, with so much to look at.

I loved this, it’s a sweet book before bedtime with your little ones that have big imaginations. As a little girl imagining with her toys she’s a princess and saying goodnight to each individual thing before she gets into bed.

The story was really sweet, easy, with a cute rhyming story. I really liked the way it flowed, and how much there was to look at on the pages. Little ones would have a great time looking at everything there.

A great story for young children who are trying to establish a bedtime routine. The book follows a young girl through her routine of telling everything goodnight. The princess tells everything in the castle and her family goodnight. The only issue was that there were some gender stereotypes. The story shows the girl who loves pink and all things girly. Is a great book for getting the imagination going and encouraging a routine with young children.

I think this is a fantastic bedtime story for children! The storyline flowed easily and the illustrations were so eye catching and magical. I read this to my daughter and it kept her attention start to finish.

I will definitely be adding this our collection!

Goodnight Princess is a simple bedtime story. A young princess is going to bed and saying goodnight to all her princess things (necklace, crown, slippers, gown, king, queen, palace etc.) The boys weren't interesting in this one, and my granddaughter was okay with it, but it is geared to younger children (she is 10). The illustrations were cute and simple, with muted colours and sharing the life of a fairytale princess. This would be a cute, quick bedtime story for young children 3 to 5.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

the illustrations and colors were beautiful without being too colorful since it is a bedtime story. it follows the same lines as any other "good night" book however did feel a bit repetitive and my child thought i was rereading pages but otherwise very cute

SOOO....it is the same old good night to everything! What I liked about it and why I rated it so high was yes she was a princess, but she was putting all her toys away in the castle. I loved the imagination!
My only silly critique is when the little girl is in the ball room her ring up towards her mouth looks like a cigarette! But then I realized it is her ring...if I cared enough I would take a pictures and share but...just a note....not a big deal!

This book actually made my daughter yawn in a good way;). I think the words just were so sweet and dreamy. My daughter saw herself in the character. Perfect for any little imaginative creature going through a castle and royal family phase.

Same formula as the other books in this series that we have, but my little girl who loves all things pink and purple and sparkly loves it. (She also insists every time that we say good night to the cat, though that’s not in the text.)

The story Goodnight Princess is a really cute little good night story for young children.

It has everything a little princess might think about...rings, dresses, dances, etc.

As a girl parent, I know my littles would have loved this as a bedtime story when they were smaller. Although, they are likely too old for it now, my youngest still said it was a super cute story when it was done.

The words are such that my emerging reader was able to read it on their own and that is always a good thing, especially when they want to read the bed time stories.

Absolutely wonderful lullaby-styled rhyme to send all young girls asleep dreaming of their favourite Cinderella-styled world. Well, the ballgowns and princesses bit – not the soot and cleaning the firewood side of things. The illustrations are exceptional, and when I saw this was a reprint it was flipping obvious why people were intent on having this still available. OK, it seems a bit daft that the girl is told it's time for bed so leaves her bedroom to say goodbye to everyone, but that sort of illogicality can be swept aside. Many youngsters will find this really special.

I read this book with my daughter and thought it was super cute and the pictures were very eye catching. The way the words flowed was beautiful almost like a song. It is geared towards babies/toddlers and I think they would very much enjoy the book, having it read to them night after night.

Dani’s Review (age 8) I liked how the words flowed together. I want to get this one for my little sister. Rating: 👍🏻/🫲🏻

What drew me in most was the pretty pink and purple colors and illustrations! The story was very simple (1-2 age group). I think it could be improved by maybe explaining a little more, for example stating that it’s time to put on pajamas, brush teeth, clean up etc. It was also a little too repetitive.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I received an advanced copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This picture book is perfect for sleepy children getting ready for bed. Follow a young girl playing princess as she travels through a kingdom saying "goodnight" to everyone. From "goodnight" to her slippers to "goodnight" to the king and queen, she slowly begins to wind down. It's heartwarming at times and adorable all around. I highly enjoyed this one!

Very cute story about a little girl headed to bed who inhabits her castle play set in her imagination. The rhyming is appealing, and the rhythm will lull little ones to sleep. We prefer princess stories that go beyond the surface of outfits and ponies and although this one unfortunately does not, it will definitely appeal to princess fans.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own opinions.

I wouldn't mind this story if there we didn't say goodnight to the dress or gown every second page. It was a bit much even for myself. You love dresses. I would find something else to bid. Goodnight to. Instead of that dress.

I read this with my 2 year old. She enjoyed it and stayed focused through the end. It is pretty much a princess version of good night moon. I enjoyed reading it and she loved the princess illustrations. Especially the pony and cat. #ARC #netgalley
