Had heard bits and pieces of this story from my parents as a child. A good family friend is the son of one the three main POWs in this story. I thought is was a good read and gave me more perspective on how terrible that time in our history was.

Memoirs, somewhat repetitive at times. Ghost written; Good from the perspective of gaining a small understanding what a man went through as a POW of the Japanese during WWII.
