Pretty comprehensive overview of TSD in vertebrates, with individual chapters dedicated to TSD in various taxa. Also pretty detailed in terms of comparisons with GSD and co-evolutionary history, current opinions. Favourite chapters include TSD in fishes by Conover, the debate on which came first - TSD or GSD by Janzen and the adaptive/neutral hypotheses driving TSD <-> GSD transitions and subsequent persistence by Valenzuela.

Suggested reader level: Undergraduate.
