CARTER Searching for love, Carter has a specific set of desires, and he doesn’t think anyone will fit. Until he meets an old high school crush. They might not have shared biology in high school, but now they’re ready to make chemistry as adults.
Will Carter find his perfect match in a geeky Daddy?
GRAYSON As a reformed high school jock, Grayson never got to fully express himself until his football career was cut short. Now, he’s a librarian with a hole in his life. And he might’ve just found the little to fill it.
Can Grayson be who his little needs him to be?
There’s a something hot and geeky happening in Shaftdale.
The Geek Jock Switch is the second in the Shaftdale Daddies series. This series is low angst, high heat, and stuffed with feels. Visit Shaftdale and find your Daddy today.
The story brings together two sweet men; Carter and Grayson, who both deserved to get exactly what they wanted. Though they didn't know it a first meeting...they wanted each other. Carter wants to be a "Daddy" and Grayson wants to be a "little"..."Daddy" Carter's "little". Seems it should all work out well for them both.
An event at the library where Carter works, brings them together again. They had gone to high school together but didn't have much interaction with one another. Although they lived in the same little town, they hadn't kept in contact after graduation. The library's "Readathon" was the perfect event to bring them back to one another.
I thought that the build-up between the characters was a bit slower in the story than in most of this author's books, which I believe I own or have read every single one of. That's not in any way a complaint. It just seemed to me that the characters began to discover the things that they had in common and what they each wanted from a relationship a bit slower than most of the others. In this story the progression of the attraction that was taking place between the two guys was natural, easy, and believable as well as being so very, very sweet... but once they get to the "steamy" parts...this story really "grows wings" and takes off...and you simply don't want it to end.
This series doesn't necessarily need to be read in any order since many of the characters make reappearances, which I like....at lot! I hate getting to know and liking someone then never seeing them again. Thanks Joe, for allowing all these sweet men to come back again and again. In this one we see a lot of Owen and Jonny from book #1. None of the books in this series are very long, that's the reason it didn't receive a 5-star rating...but these books are some of the sweetest stories you will ever have the privilege of reading. Thanks again, Joe.
The Geek Jock Switch is the second book in the Shaftdale Daddies series by Joe Satoria. It's about Carter and Grayson. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
Carter believes he’s looking for a daddy who doesn’t exist, he doesn’t think he’ll ever find anyone to tick everything on his list of wants until a chance meeting with his old high school crush.
Grayson quickly sees that Carter is the missing little he needed in his life and goes above and beyond to prove he can be the daddy Carter needs.
A cute little superhero with an adorable superpower and a marshmallow of a daddy who wants to give his sweet boy everything he deserves.
The Geek Jock Switch brings together two sweet men who deserve to get what they want... and one wants a daddy and the other wants a little... so it works out well...
This book has a bit slower build than some of Joe's books, as the characters begin to uncover things they have in common, and the progression seems natural and sweet... but once they get to steamy, that part is definitely part of the story too.
We see a lot of Owen and Jonny from book 1, but The Geek Jock Switch stands well as a standalone story as well.
DNF. NOT THE AUTHOR'S FAULT!!! It's mine alone, I didn't read the blurb, the title drew me in. I like Daddy and Boy, but I most definitely do not like Daddy and Little, it makes me feel uncomfortable, I just cannot read it. I'm not knocking it at all, to each their own. I've given stars because I don't want to ruin the authors rating because of my stupidity. BUT, that man on the cover is HOT!!
In true Joe's style, this book is nice, fluffy, funny, cuddly. The Daddy/boy relationship is obviously a huge part of the story but without being overwhelming. Plus is full of comics and a Sex & the City reference. I loved it! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I loved this book. Carter is looking for love but doesn't think anyone will match him. Carter never expects to meet his high school crush again. Grayson's football career ended abruptly. He works as a librarian at the library when Carter comes in. Carter is looking for a daddy and Grayson is looking for a little. Are they the perfect match they have been looking for and find love together?
