Veronika is the fourth child of eight children, born to Germanic parents in Australia. She was raised on the Darling Downs, in Queensland, where her parents owned 700 acres.

Her strongest memories are of the sweet scent of eucalyptus trees, crystal clear water in the creek,red soil and strong sunshine. Veronika's childhood has provided a rich world for her imagination.

She now lives in rural Cumbria
