Since my divorce, women have served a solitary purpose for me. The last thing I needed in my life was the headache of a relationship. I had no time or energy for anyone other than my son and my club. But when a chance encounter with my son’s teacher turned into something I didn’t expect, I tossed aside all my reservations and took a chance. I should’ve kept my distance. I should’ve listened when she told me she had doubts about us, suspicions which she was yet to find out were justified, and let her walk away. When our situation with the club heated up, posing a threat to everyone I knew, I could’ve convinced myself being without her was the best choice. But I was selfish and refused to picture my life without her. Will my decision to keep her close put her further in danger, exposing her to a life she never asked for? And would she be able to find it in her heart to forgive me if my fear ever came true?
I'm an indie author who grew up with a love of reading and a very active imagination, never putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard until 2013.
I typically write romantic suspense, as I love stories with some twists and turns. I also love my HEA, although the road to get there is quite the journey.
I am so happy that we are getting a new series with a new set of characters! I have been absolutely obsessed with this authors work from the beginning and I am just so happy to see it carried on!
So in this book we get the Laredo chapter being the main characters and seeing a buildup of a shitstorm that is sure to come. This book was centered around Renner and Emmy. Renner is a single father and is not looking for any type of relationship but the easy kind. Emmy is his sons school teacher and is also not looking for a relationship after her previous one ended badly. When Renner and Emmy meet for the second time (first time was brief and from the first book), Renner seems smitten right away. Which, I love.
Renner is protective of Emmy immediately and when circumstances put Emmy living with Renner and his son, things get heated. I absolutely loved the dynamic between these two, and loved how it wasn't much of a slow-burn! It felt organic and I was just super excited to see how these two played out.
There was light club drama, I can definitely see where it'll become more intense with later books. I also am obsessed with the secondary characters. I can't wait to see some future couples play out! Definitely excited for all that's to come!
Renner by S Nelson was the second book in the Knights Corruption MC Laredo series but an extension/cross over of the Knights Corruption MC (original) series and Knights Corruption MC Next Generation series.
Renner and Emmy were introduced separately in the first book, Tag. Renner as an MC brother to Tag and Emmy as a friend to Morgan; however, their paths had not crossed until now. Emmy was Colton’s teacher and Colton was Renner’s 9 year old son. My favorite part of the book was Colton - he was funny and awesome.
All in all, it was a quick read with a suspenseful plot that brought Renner and Emmy together. The plot itself was confusing at times and although the relationship developed and brought us to a conclusion, the suspenseful plot remained wide open. I’m not sure who we’ll see next, but it’s certain we’ll see more of the suspenseful plot develop.
This series is heating up my friends…wow! Exciting, funny at times and totally sexy, Renner is a fantastic read. Renner and Emmy are a great couple, loved getting to watch their story unfold. Also loved getting to know the Laredo club better, they’re definitely an interesting bunch…can’t wait for their stories. And I absolutely loved Colt…that kid is a hoot! Excellent addition to the series, can’t wait for more!
Knight's Corruption MC - Laredo Series Book #2 Renner and Emmy's story What a great read!! Ms. Nelson continues to WOW me with her sexy alpha MC heroes time and time again! RENNER is book 2 in her Knight's Corruption MC -Laredo series. Single dad Renner has no intention on finding love when he goes to his young son Colton's classroom and meets his teacher Emmy. There's an immediate attraction between them and even though they know they shouldn't be together, their intense connection brings them together. Emmy is also gun shy with relationships due to a horrible break-up with an ex. Between a jealous ex-wife and the fear of imminent danger from a mysterious car that had been following her, Emmy finds herself confused and second guessing their relationship. I loved Renner and Emmy together. Banter and extreme chemistry made them fun and scorching HOT! Colton was such a sweet boy that would say the darnedest things!! It was wonderful being back with the whole MC crew and I can't wait to read what Ms. Nelson has in store for us next!!
Emmy is a teacher and has only recently moved back to Laredo. When she comes out of the school only to discover Colton, one of her kids, has not been picked up - she decides to take him to his dad. The attraction between them is immediate and it turns out Renner and Emmy have seen each other once before when she had dinner with Morgan, Tag’s woman😉
A great story that is suspenseful in regards to what’s happening in the club and with the members❣️The characters are starting to become a little more familiar now, which makes me feel more at home with them and I love learning about the new guys too. Renner and Emmy have great chemistry and a second chance at a love that’ll go the distance🤩 I’m excited about what comes next especially after that ending😳
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️
Its no secret that I love the KCMC boys and this new spin off is so good because it has some of the originals that we have fallen in love with making appearances but it gives us a a whole new group of men to fall in love with!
Renner is totally swoon-worthy. This hot single dad who is a member of the Laredo chapter. Soon as he is face to face with his sons teacher he is a goner! totally head over heels and all in. He just has to convince Emmy of this first.
Emmy has fallen hard for one of her students Dad's but she will try hard to keep things professional but the more he crawls under her skin and protects her the harder it will be.
I was hooked from beginning to end and can't wait to see what is going to play out with the Laredo Chapter
I was gifted a copy of this book by the Author. This is my honest opinion
This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Renner and Emmy’s journey. Renner is a divorced single dad to his son, and Emmy is his son’s teacher, and they last thing either of them are looking for is a relationship. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable, and they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with a drama, a jealous ex, danger, suspense, intrigue, mystery, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to a steamy and entertaining riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I enjoyed this story, S. Nelson did a great job on the plot, it was written well, strong characters. Renner and Emmy were two people that were made for each other, their path have had some bumps but they were strong, they were good together, their chemistry was off the charts, it was sexy, they were well matched. This is a great story, I'd suggest reading it. Thank you, S. Nelson. Great work :)
Renner by S. Nelson is book Two in the Knights Corruption MC. This is the story of Renner and Emmy. I have read the previous book which did add to my enjoyment of this one. But, I did think it could be a standalone book. Emmy is a school teacher who teaches Colton. Colton is the son of Renner and when she ends up taking Colton to his dad one day after school their connection takes off. Ms. Nelson is one of my
Get ready for heart pounding excitement from beginning to end. Renner and Emmy try to ignore the sizzling attraction they feel for each other but there's no denying it. The action heats up as Renner and the Laredo chapter of the Knights Corruption MC have to deal with the impending danger that's threatening the club. This is a great story with so many unique characters. Another terrific addition to the KCMC series.
Oh my goodness! Renner and Emmy's story is fabulous! It's intense, definitely steamy and edge of your seat exciting. And Colton, that kid has completely stolen my heart. I love the back and forth between these characters. These Laredo guys are taking us on quite a ride. I'm excited to see what's next for this club.
Another good story from the Knights Corruption series. I have read both the California and now the Texas chapters and would recommend going back to read them all. I loved all the cameos from the Cali chapter, Stone and Tripp were two of my favorites. Renner is a stand up guy and Emmy is lucky she ran into him.
OMG!!! Renner is hot!!! Couldn't put this down once I started reading. I hate to comment on the story itself as to not ruin it for anybody, but this book has me dying for the next book already. Please S. Nelson, don't keep us waiting to long!! Lol. I absolutely love the new series! Can't wait for more.
Renner is part of Knights Corruption MC but when he meets his son Colton's teacher it is instant heat!! Emmy sees Renner and she can't even speak but she has to weigh out the danger of the club, his crazy ex-wife and being his sons teacher. I loved this story so much, the men of this MC are such a family that will do anything for each other. I cannot wait to read Knox and the next chapter in this story.

Emmy and Renner: insta love with major reservations. I love it when one character takes a chance and then said chance comes into question. Great writing.
I really liked the story of Emmy and Renner of the Laredo Chapter MC. Their story was emotional and intense, and I loved every minute of it!! I love all of the Knight Corruption MC series and I can't wait to read more about the Laredo Chapter and the members!!
Renner is a fantastic read. Renner and Emmy are a great couple, loved getting to watch their story unfold. Also loved getting to know the Laredo club better, they’re definitely an interesting bunch…can’t wait for their stories.
Emmy and Renner: insta love with major reservations. I love it when one character takes a chance and then said chance comes into question. Great writing.
Renner is a single dad and Emmy is his kid's teacher and they also have other connections they weren't aware of. But then they meet and they both have a bit of trouble and they get entangled with each other.
Renner is done with relationships once he divorced. Emmy is in a similar situation with relationships due to a bad break up. When Renner runs into an issue with his son, he soon meets his son’s teacher, Emmy. An instant attraction forms but there are many obstacles standing in their way. Each of these stories are a page-turner as the suspense builds. Nothing too dark but just enough to keep you intrigued. Lots of chemistry between the two and look forward to the series continuing.
