What I said before the book's release: I know it seems mad to rate a book that isn't even out yet; but given how much I loved the first five books set in this world, I can NOT see any way I won't love this book, too! And the best part of anticipating the release? It's time to re-read the previous books and immerse in that world with those characters all over again. Delicious!

A first reads give away, thank you.

Took me a while to get around to reading it, sorry, but I needed to source and read the other books in the series first. It has been some time between completing book 2 and reading this one. A first reads win!

This was a very interesting book. While it is the sixth book in the series, I never felt like I didn't know what was going on. The book stands very well on its own.

The story is that surrounding two women, Kreskali and Nell Richter and their efforts to save dying Earth and another world, Gaela. There is conspiracy and betrayal.

In a couple places, the book suddenly skips a few years and it was very disconcerting as the reader since I had felt that the book was rising to a climax
