Jeffrey Holt has been a defender his entire life, but the time for defense has ended. His vision will set the human race on a singular, brutal purpose. To be truly free, they must leave the tenuous safety of Earth, make the Sthenos their prey, and eradicate them. However, as Holt's juggernaut realizes its full strength, he finds, for the first time, the cost of war is more than he's willing to pay.
Bestselling author Jason Bond has been pursuing excellence in the craft of writing for almost 40 years. From suiting up in Kendōgu in Kyoto, Japan, to staring into the eyes of a wolf eel fifty feet underwater in Puget Sound, nothing compares to the amazing experiences and the wonderful people met as a result of writing. Jason holds a Bachelor's in English Literature from the University of Oregon, an MBA from the University of Colorado, and an MLIS from San Jose State. He currently manages a local library branch in Washington, where he currently lives with his wife and son. When not writing, Jason can be found six days a week at his local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio. At eighteen years old he entered an Aikido dojo for the first time and has since trained under world-class instructors such as the Head Coach of the 1980 US Taekwondo Olympic Team, Sang Lee, and two people from Bruce Lee under Sifu Michael Brewer. All told, he has trained in Aikido, Jeet Kune Do, Kali/Escrima, Taekwondo, Shūdōkan Karate, Kobudō, Goshin Jutsu, Judo, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
I have one thing to say: If you make me wait eight more years for a follow up, I may have to track you down and see if a fat old man can fight a martial arts aficionado. I’ll get my ass kicked but maybe I can force you to tell me the rest of the story over some good food.
Your proofreader and editor need improvement. Pacing in some parts seemed to be sporadic and you killed me with some of the time skips. “Blam 4 years later.” However the ending was fantastic. The battle - well written , well paced and the final surprise was pure gold.
I just finished this minute. I’ll have to let it sit in my head a couple days and see how I feel after I rest on it.
While I generally enjoyed the story, it becomes somewhat ham-fisted with main character Jeffrey Holt becoming essentially immortal, with a lifespan expected to reach into the 2-300s. The idea that the general would keep something like the info that his race had been enslaved and forced to fight a secret for decades makes no sense. If we were enslaved as a race, we would seek any help we could find, whether it’s from a mighty fighting force to another slave. The button to vent the hearts? Please… none of these people mentioned the stitches? And then there are the typos. So many typos and phrasing that makes no sense. WTF is 15 kilometers per hour per second? You mean 15 kilometers per second? What is 600,00 supposed to mean, or did you mean 60,000? I get that self-publishing puts a lot on the writer, but I’m sure you could find friends, fans, and family who would be willing to proofread for you.

3rd book worth the wait and re-read of the first 2 books
I remember reading the first two books and eagerly waited for the 3rd. Very glad it’s here and look forward to the 4th. Great military SF with characters I care about. Jason writing as an independent author is inspiring to someone who has dreamed about writing for a very long time. As a fellow martial arts enthusiast, I see the familiar themes that are important to me. (This is my wife’s account by the way. I’m her husband, Aaron)
Bond’s third installment of the Hammerhead saga is a home run! The story line is fast paced and easy to follow. I will not go into details (spoilers) but the surprise twists and turns are excellent. I highly recommend this wonderful story. BUT… if this is your first visit into the intriguing Hammerhead world, read Bond’s first two books; Hammerhead and Hammerhead Resurrection. Highly recommend!
Can't wait for the next book! It was a while between reading the first book and finding the second, but worth it. Hopefully, it won't be long before the third one comes out. You can easily relate to most of the characters even considering the horrific circumstances they find themselves in. Well done, Mr. Bond!
Outstanding I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books but as the time went on since their release had thought that there weren’t to be any further instalments so was really pleased to see book three in my “continue series you’ve started” feed on kindle Now I can’t wait for book four!
