This is the third book in Dale Mayer’s “Terk’Guardians’ series. This series is a chilling suspense that is an off-shoot from this author’s “Bullard’s Battle” and “Terkel’s Team” series. While it is not necessary to have read those other series first in order to enjoy this series, reading them will definitely enhance the understanding and enjoyment of this story. This book is about Bullard and his pregnant wife who seem to be in some sort of serious danger.

Bojan and Lacy grew up together and have always been as close as a brother and sister. Unfortunately, they are now both haunted by a traumatic experience that happened years ago, which has caused a huge estrangement between these two friends. The readers’ suspense is heightened because the author does not reveal the facts of their estrangement until much later in the book

Lacy now lives at Terk’s compound where she is doing an internship as part of her training to become a doctor. However, during her stay, her special skills detect danger for Bullard’s pregnant wife, Leia, who also lives at the compound. Terk sends for Bojan so he can use his special skills, in tandem with Lacy’s to help her discover who is after Leia.

This story concentrates on the estrangement between Lacy and Bojan and how they attempt to work together to save Leia’s life. This is not an easy task for them because they both need to overcome their animosity for each other and the mental stress that is left over from the memory of their difficult experience.

This book is filled with riveting suspense and non-stop dangerous action as Lacy, Bojan, Bullard and Terkel’s entire team try to find out who is attempting to kill Leia and why. Everyone’s life is in danger by a seemingly demented person with no conscience is threatening everyone on Terkel’s team!

When Terkel tries to call Bojan, a free agent, he doesn't answer. So, Riff tries instead, the first conversation is funny because Bojan has been totally out of the loop and there have been many changes. There's lots of partial answers and Bojan hangs up only to call back again a few minutes later. He gets a few more answers and more about Lacy's involvement with Bullard and his wife. However, he's still not convinced he's needed.

That is until Terkel calls back. He's thinking about Lacy and what Riff has told him. She's in med school in Johannesburg and working at a clinic with Bullard's wife as a practicum. There's a history between Bojan and Lacy that he can't ignore so he finally agrees to go and assist at Bullard's compound.

Lacy knows Bojan is there before anyone else, she can sense him. When the two of them are together, their abilities are stronger and more focused. It's not that she's unhappy to see him, it's just complicated.

Lacy goes to bed early and the next morning, has a swim before breakfast. It's her day off to relax and she intends to do just that. She joins everyone for breakfast, and she notices Leia's discomfort. Leia claims indigestion and leaves it at that.

Bullard joins them and says a meeting after breakfast, and Leia wants in.

From here things start to heat up, as Lacy and Bojan drop quite the bomb on the expectant couple. The investigation takes a twist as well when someone shoots at Lacy.

The relationship between Bojan and Lacy becomes more apparent. It's confusing for them and the circumstances of the bond between them is something they both need to face.

So much happens in this book, there's attacks, injury, romance, sizzle and plenty of surprises.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Bojan focuses on work to keep memories of his past and Lacy out of his mind but when Lacy raises the alarm over Bullard's family he is forced to step in and help. Bullard is wary of all the "special skills" unless it was from Terk's team and ignoring the offer of the skills can be dangerous especially when it is related to his family. Lacy is helping heavily pregnant Leia at the medical clinic but can't ignore the danger she sees and that kind of alarm warrants help although Lacy hoped Bojan would return to her at some point now is not the time to sort that all out although she hopes he is prepared to help as things are going to go from bad to worse.

I enjoyed this story with the different story streams that all had to come together at the end for there to be a good result. I understood the anger and resentment that Bojan held for Lacy but it did feel a long time to sulk considering that it wasn't done deliberately and what they were left with. I loved the drama between Bojan and Lacy as well as that between Bullard and the threat and the way that they were scrabbling around to find answers to both. I felt myself reading faster and faster as the end was closer. Easy to read, feel and understand. There is some mature content.

Another great story in Dale Mayer's "Terk's Guardians" series.
Terk had his expanding team of ex elite military personnel and their mostly pregnant wives at his castle on a huge estate in Scotland, these men are hand picked for their military expertise but also for their psychic skills.
Terk's old friend Bullard was very wary of these skills but when the doctor looking after his heavily pregnant wife showed signs of possessing such skills and sensing danger Terk was contacted for help and Terk knew just the man to send.
Brojan Anton wanted to be anywhere but Bullard's African compound, but when he got the call from Terk he knew that he had to go, he wouldn't let Bullard down but he wasn't looking forward to working alongside Lacy Marriott, the doctor taking care of Leia, the same Lacy that he connected with all the heartache of his past but Bojan knew that with their combined "energies" they had more chance of keeping Leia and her baby safe, Bullard had always been sceptical about the "special skills" of Terk's team but he knew better than to ignore them.
This is a great story of the power of the psychic mind, the battles that Brojan and Lacy faced both general and personal and them coming to terms with their past , squashing the demons that were stopping them from falling in love.

Bojan & Lacy

The atmosphere is intense right from the very beginning. Bojan and Lacy are at odds with each other. They have a hard time being civil to each other and have a very unique connection the rest of the group at Bullard’s compound doesn’t understand.

Bojan and Lacy are caught up in adjusting to each other’s presence at the compound when things get tense and dangerous. The group is confused with Bojan saying things are just “off” at the same time Leila, Bullard’s wife, is close to giving birth, which confuses everyone as to the true meaning of what “off” means. There seems to be a lot going on that takes everyone’s attention.

I appreciate when Bullard is determined to make the compound as safe as possible for those who live there and for his very pregnant wife. Lacy throws confusion in the mix when she makes a very disconcerting announcement that is hard to absorb.

This is full of intense emotions, lots of personalities, ongoing excitement and plenty of action. This story is one you won’t be able to put down. I look forward to more stories like this one from this author. Love it.

Emotional as well as suspenseful story, my heart broke for Bojan and for Lacy, they both lost and missed out on so much. Lacy finds her gifts instinctive and uses them when she can, she will pull connections in to help as well if she needs more energy, sadly this cost her hugely when younger, not understanding the ramifications of the help she called for. Also not knowing that at the time I'm not sure that Bojan would have rejected helping. Now they need to try to get past all that and work together to save someone else. Subject matter really is sensitive and not easy that the one targeted really needs help in more ways than one. Well written story that is interesting and twisted in the plot, wonderful characters their gifts intricate and intriguing. Love the comaradre with the team, the friendship and support all gave each other while trying to figure out the threat and catch the villain.

Is this book worth 5*? absolutely, will you enjoy this series? Yes you will. Full of mystery and intrigue with a dash of overprotectiveness thrown in for good measure. Bonanza has been called to Bullard’s compound to help protect his wife. He didn’t bank on his ex being there though. Lacy has seen a premonition that Leia, Bullard’s wife, is in danger. Shocked that Bojan is there to help but needs arise. More info is given over and everyone works together to find the mad man doing it. I loved the characters especially the old faces that we have met in other books.

Bojan and Lacy definitely had chemistry when together and I loved the back story on who they were to each other and why Terkel was so adamant that Bojan went to Bullard. I just can’t get enough of this series. These can be read as a stand alone but I find it’s best to read the first books in the series to understand the series and the characters. Bullard has a series and so has Terk. All great books and series.

OK I confess this one caused a tear or two and made my heart hurt for all involved. I settled in for another enjoyable read, expected one possibly two new things. I was not impressed with Bojan, but when the back story came out I about fell. The web that was woven through Bojan and Lacy's life. The back ground of the perp, when it came out was also heart wrenching and oh so real in this world today. I am so sorry if this sounds all over the place, this book just pulled on so many emotions, but I can say it delivered a HEA and it was wonderful to see Bullard and some of the gang again, and its always fantastic to see its the woman they rule :) Thank you for the arc. A huge crossover with Bullard's Team

Bojan's worst nightmare is back to haunt him and there is nothing he can do to avoid it...but that doesn't mean he has to embrace it! Until he does...and he knows life will never be the same again.
Wow! This one hits hard, the bond between Bojan and Lacy is as tragic and painful as it is unbreakable and beautiful. Bojan has avoided, denied, hated and blamed, for years, but he still finds himself in the same place once again and this time for both himself and for Lacy he has to make a different decision.
It is fantastic to catch up with Bullard, Leia and their team but this is also a tough read, sucking you into an emotional tornado that leaves you exhausted and a little dazed.

Lacy is at Bullard’s compound doing her medical residency. She enjoys it here and feels accepted. Now that Bojan is here and the others have learned she’s “special,” will she still be comfortable?
Their past is not a pretty picture, but sometimes things happen, and nothing can be done. Another exciting adventure in the Terkel’s woo-woo world.

I really enjoyed Bojan . It's a Sensational Suspense Romance . Bojan and Lacy have a tragic past full of despair and heartbreak . Lacy reaches out to Terk fearing for Bullard's family asking for assistance . Turk sends Bojan and Riff as his backup . Once arriving Bojan and Lacy's bond and past is revealed to the team . As they find themselves trying to move on and heal from the past . Danger comes swiftly and they work hard to protect the family . This is well written and the characters are fantastic . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

With an unknown threat emerging against Leia, Bullard’s wife, Bojan has been sent to investigate the situation. He has mixed feelings as he knows it will reunite him with a woman from his past, but he isn’t about to let that stand in his way.

Lacy is responsible for Leia’s care and has the ability to sense threats where others don’t. She knows that there is something amiss, but she doesn’t know who is responsible or why and the only way she is going to find out is by working with Bojan and that means facing the history they share.

Intrigue, action and a new beginning as we not only get to know Lacy and Bojan but catch up with the other characters we know and love.

It's all hands on deck at Bullards place.

Bullard called Terk for some help because Lacy has a premonition that something bad is about to happen. She is also thinking something might happen to Bullards wife and the delivery of the baby. So they need more security. Turk sends Riff and has him get in touch with Bojan who is already in Africa. When he finds out Lacy is there he has to go to make sure they are safe. Someone is also after Leia, Bullard, or both of them. This story keeps you guessing and keeps you on your toes. And I love how the characters are carried from one book to the next as their stories continue. Five stars.

Bojan has been in his own world so long he he is out of the loop on what has been happening with both Terk and Bullard but now it's time to reconnect with the world which also included reconnecting with Lacy. Both Lacy and Bojan frustrate me at their stubbornness but once Lacy has a close call all bets are off and whilst making sure Leia is safe and finding out who exactly is the danger and why the feelings they have for ech other also need to be delt with.

Terk's team has varied special powers that sometimes carry consequences and this story is partially about this problem along with a mystery of it's own.
Bojan and Lacy share a somewhat painful history, however their combined powers may be just the solution needed in this dilemma.
Bullard's pregnant wife may be in danger. Terk, of course, wants to help his friend and sends Bojan, unbeknown to Lacy, to assist with the unraveling situation.
A great story, difficult to put down.

This is the third book in Terk’s Guardians series. Lacy senses that there is danger to Bullard wife, Liea and raises an alarm. When Terkel is asked to help protect Liea, he sends Bojan to help. Lacy and Bojan have a history and tensions flare when Bojan arrives. When Lacy is shot, Bojan uses his energy to help her even though he knows his life will never be the same. As danger comes to the Bulland’s compound, Lacy will need to use her wits as well as her energy to keep Liea safe. I am looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for Bojan and Lacy.

I enjoyed the paranormal aspect to this book. I was thinking that Bojan was being completely unreasonable until the story about the past he shared with Lacy was revealed.

Then it became an understandable issue that was sad it took so long for them to resolve.

The twists and turns were interesting. They also made me wonder if Bojan and Lacy were going to have the same results as everyone else after returning to Terk's castle.

I listened to the audio book. The narrator did a decent job. Not my favorite of the Terk's Team or Guardian narrators, but ok.

Bojan and Lacy have a complicated history that almost keeps Bojan from answering Terk's call for help. But how can he ignore the threat to Bullard's pregnant wife? And once Bojan gets to Bullard's compound, it becomes apparent that Lacy and he will need to resolve issues from their past. At first it seems that Bojan is a jerk to Lacy. Their backstory is not what I would have expected and explains their current interactions with each other.

Lacy is at Bullard's compound helping his wife Leia who is pregnant. She has a premonition of danger to Leia and her baby and also danger to Bullard and his whole team so reaches out to Terkel to send help. Terkel sends Bojan even though Lacy and Bojan have a painful past history. Between Lacy and Bojan they protect Leia and her baby and everyone at the ccompound.

The books in the Terk’s Guardians are must-reads for me and I read this one in one day - the stories are always the perfect combination of romance, action and a steamy chemistry. Dale Mayer never disappoints with a romance that will keep you up late into the night!! If you're looking for fantastic suspense romance that will keep you guessing and have you falling more and more in love with each flip of the page, this one is for you. Five stars and more. Another great story in this thrilling series.
This team are chosen for the special skills as well as military background. Bojan and Lacy have a history. His mission is to help her and likely face their past. The story has all the emotions as they work through things. There was plenty of intrigue in this twisted wonderful plot. I loved seeing other familiar characters too.

Bojan and Riff head to Bullard's to help. Lacey and he have a past. When they cross paths while helping Leia during her pregnancy. There seems to be an unknown out there to do harm to either Bullard or Leia. And Boyan is there to protect. Lacey is there to make sure mom and baby make it to the end. Her powers of healing are needed. As the enemy gets close all secrets of Bojan and Lacey come out to the open. Will they get their own healing time?

When Terkel sends Bojan to help Lacy help Bullard they will need to work out their past in order to work together to help Bullard protect his family. Bojan takes on a mission to help out Bullard and his wife but finds himself working with his past. After loosing his wife and baby, sees both Bojan and Angela walking away but their bond didn't break. Now working together that bond comes racing forward and brings some firworks. A fast pace story keeps you on your toes, see things go wrong and some goinf forward. A real page turner.

This book kept me on edge (kept me turning the pages trying to figure out where the threat was). Bojan and Lacy, people with a mutual history and special gifts. This book takes us to Africa, Bullard's Compound and, more importantly, Bullard's Leia.

This is the third book in the Terk's Guardians series, even though it can be read as a standalone story I do recommend reading them in order.
We meet and follow Bojan as he goes to Africa to help Bullard and his wife Leia. He reconnects with Lacy with whom he has a complicated history. Emotional storyline, plenty of drama and intrigue.

Bojan and Lacy's story is one of the most emotional books yet. It's quite the journey they have been on. I was so invested in them. The mystery is full of tension. We get to revisit some fan favorite characters. And there is plenty of action. Another great read!.

This book was excellent. It's my favorite so far. I loved Bojan and Lacy's characters and Bullard and Leia interactions was awesome. There's plenty of danger, suspense and some heat. When Bullard and his compound is breached, his one concern is for his pregnant wife. Excellent read and a HEA.
