I'm not usually a huge fan of the Love Inspired books because they are so short and I never feel like I get enough time with the characters. Sometime the romance will feel forced or rushed and the story line barely gets going and then ends. But let me tell you, Lynette Eason knows how to do it. I closed this book with a smile on my face and felt completely satisfied. All the loose ends were tied up nicely and not only that, but the characters were deep and very well developed. How does she do it ...more

Biking to school her first morning she is stunned to see a white car approaching the crossing fast, heading straight for a child. Fearful she won't get there in time, Paige pedals as fast as she can & sweeps the boy up. The car knocks into Paige & she instin ...more

I enjoyed reading this story.. Paige is a strong woman to be a DEA agent. Dylan is at first uncomfortable with this new revelation, then decides he loves her and wants to spend as much time as possible with her. Will is absolutely adorable despite his silence after witnessing a horrible crime. Without giving away the end, the badman and his accomplice were not who I thought they would be. Lynette Eason does an excellent job in keeping this short story suspenseful. I look forward to further books ...more

Really short sweet and to the point. I still got to know and care about the characters. I really liked this book

Lynette Eason's books always keep me on the edge of my seat with the mystery, however, sometimes I feel TOO much drama is crammed into one book. Not sure the little boy in this book would EVER get over the trauma he faced, even possibly after years of counseling. Also, the author changed the name of the child before the book was published and his old name cropped up a time or two--even on the back cover. Maybe better editing?? Yet the books are clean and hold my interest, so I always enjoy readi ...more

For the last several years, I have been reading a lot of books, including many from Love Inspired. This story of a younger policewoman has captured my attention as one of the "Very Best" from LI. Combining conflicts of fear in the maternal area and strength in her vocation, our Paige is brought into a young boy's life that enables her to work through the past and how she thought she failed. She also learned to trust a Christian friend, allowing him to also influence back to her relationship with ...more

My husband and I read this book together and really enjoyed it. We like the characters, setting, and the mood of the book.
Great start for this series!!

Excellent starting, the story hooked you up right from the beginning, Lynnette Eason books are always on the lookout for an introduction to our faith, linking to situations unpredictables.
Hopefully for the next book in this series it'll keep the same . Like it when she makes the characters in the plot talk to God or have a conversation with him, it feels good.

Paige had a lot of fear in her life. Her fear almost made her lose out on a great guy and future full of love

Rose Mountain Refuge
Book 1

Just finished reading the first book in this series and I am very impressed! I loved both characters - both had very strong personalities and were in the habit of saving. It was Paige's job to find out the truth of what happened to a fellow secret agent while protecting the uncle/son duo. And Dylan couldn't help coming to Paige's rescue - after all, he was a man and wanted to be her hero!

The romance was allowed to develop naturally. There were no "We can't do this" - at

Lynette Eason is gifted at dropping the reader into the action. The fast paced plot was intriguing, her characters seemed real with human flaws that played into the faith part of the story. There were a few errors - Paige's eyes were blue in the beginning yet turned green later on. The change of the little boy's name from Alex to Will should have been caught during the editing process. Mistakes like those do cause the reader to stop but I kept on reading as it didn't effect the story. Overall it ...more

The past does not have to determine the future.

Paige feared she could never be a mom because of her own mom's failure to love or raise her right. Despite her mom's drug problems Paige made a life for herself, until she met Dylan and fell in love with him and his nephew Will. Will connected to her after she saved his life several times. Dylan shows her she can trust him. Once again a fast paced book that I couldn't put down..

I really liked this book. Ms. Eason always does a wonderful job of hooking me from the very beginning and holding my interest all the way to the end. My heart immediately went out to Will. The story was so well written. What I appreciated most is that I never got the feeling that any characters or story line was unnecessary--it all worked together. I found myself wanting to get to the end to figure out what happened and then I was sad it was over.

I was very happy to see that my library recently added the 3 books from the Rose Mountain series by Lynette Eason. I generally enjoy books by her, and this one was no exception. Good, easy mystery read. I mostly had it figured out and everyone ended up happy at the end, which is just the way I like it :)

This was the first Lynette Eason book I read. I loved the beginning. I loved Paige's toughness. My heart broke for a little Will. I thought the ending was adorable. It kept my interest from the beginning to the end. I enjoyed reading this book very much. I'm happy I purchased it.

I love the concept of this book. Paige, the undercover DEA agent, is convincing as both an agent and an elementary school guidance counselor. Her relationship with the mute child Will is well-drawn. While the romance with Will's uncle Dylan is fast, it didn't feel unbelievable.

Recommends it for: anyone who want a christian romance suspense
It is a good read with believable characters and a plot that one does not have to completely suspend reality to enjoy.

Agent Undercover was a very good story. It is a good clean story, and suspenseful. But it is kind of a predictable kind of a plot. It is a quick read and very good.
I enjoyed this book but it left me with more questions than answers.

This is an interesting and very fast read. It's got plenty of suspense and a good story line without a lot of extra fluff thrown in.
