J.D. Robb is the author of the #1 New York Times bestselling In Death series and the pseudonym for #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts. The futuristic suspense series stars Eve Dallas, a New York City police lieutenant with a dark past. Initially conceived as a trilogy, readers clamored for more of Eve and the mysterious Roarke. Forgotten in Death (St. Martin's Press, September 2021) is the 53rd entry in the series.
They just keep getting better and better! This is my all time, numero uno, favorite series! I own and have read or am in the process of reading every book in this series. From Naked in Death when you get sucked into Eve's raw and gritty world and then teased with Roarke's world of glitz and glam to every heartbreaking crime after, they are all marvelous. I devour every word and I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to admit that I reread the series twice a year every new book is published.
This book is just okay as it seems to follow the format of earlier books in the series,it doesn't really seem to have anything new in the development of the character's personalities or anything new to add to their background history apart from the case being from Eve's earlier days as a cop. I'd say read this one as just part of the ongoing series.
strangers. one of the best. Lots of characters. great plot. Plus a money fight between Eve and Roarke. Relatable. Wish all the books would focus on the characters...
