I thought this was a really well-written textbook for being an introduction to practical statistics. I appreciate the use of examples illustrating studies using of the different methods. In general, the authors could have afforded to include more details (perhaps in explaining how some of the expressions are derived), but overall I think the authors struck a great balance between theory and application - for those who care more about how to use statistics rather than understand statistics.

I have not read the entire book, only a few chapters that I needed. This is a good book as long as you are looking for an introduction to statistics. The book includes many practical examples which helps with learning how to apply the theory. If you want to learn about more advanced concepts (post-hoc analysis, internal reliability scores, etc.) this is not the book you are looking for!
