David P Elliot spent 8 years in the Thames Valley Police in the 1970s, much of it as a detective, before leaving to go into the IT Industry where he spent close to the next 30 years.

In 2005, in what Elliot calls his ‘mid-life crisis’, he quit and took a year out to write full-time the result of which was ‘Clan’ his debut novel, which has been variously described as a historical supernatural thrill
