I recommend James D. Koerner's Hoffer's America to anyone who senses a fundamental societal error is growing worse by the generation. This may not hold the agreeable answer for all, but it surely states a perspective that many will applaud and all should at least consider. It's not just about Eric Hoffer as a man and author, but rather shows Eric Hoffer as an articulate representation of a facet of American culture that seems to be ever-decreasing. It's too complicated to dissect here and done too-well in Hoffer's stark prose to try and condense further.
