3.5 stars. They had some good things to say, but the overall prose was just a bit too cheesey for my taste. It read, to me,, they were trying a bit too hard to be bro-y in the writing style.

Great material, very insightful, thought provoking. This book was much deeper and insightful than I thought it was going to be. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish reading this book for two reasons. 1. Because when the author explained a concept, he gave an excessive amount of explainations to describe the concept. I understand the idea behind doing this is to allow for all types of learner but it was a bit much for me. 2. At first I thought it was simply going to be about the Hymn vs Praise music argument. I'm very pleased I continued to read and finish the book. I now have a different perspective on what it means to Worship my Lord and Savior Jesus!

I read quite a few books about worship and find that many of them don't contain the meat of the issue. This book does not fall in that category at all. I venture to say one of the top 5 books I have read on worship. It lays out the principles and ti challenges the reader to action, something I appreciate.
