A variety of designs, from knots to animals to letters, borders and decorations, along with suggestions for use - everything from handkerchiefs to pincushions to samplers to rugs - ensuring there's something for cross-stitchers of all skills. The only reason I docked one star is because I would have liked to see more color pictures. (Having said that, it was published in 1997.)

Within a few minutes I found the design I wanted. I might well buy this book.

I received a copy of Celtic Cross Stitch by Gail Lawther as a gift from a friend.

My primary hobby is beading and I am planning a sign to hang in front of the house with the address made from beads. Celtic Cross Stitch has a variety of alphabet patterns that I will use for this project. The finished project will be about 12 inches by 12 inches, will take lots of beads and time to complete.

My second project will be a cross stitch project making a will hanging with a friend's initals for thier Christmas present. I have about five projects planned for presents so this one will be part of a group of handmade items for friends. The picture is for this initial project and will be similar but with my friend's initals and in colors to match their decor.

Especially like the celtic knot work patterns on pgs 118-119, no half stitches or back-stitching. Easily adaptable to beadwork patterns.

Very nice sampler on pgs 110-111
