Dated

This is an old book and the language and attitudes within reflect the time in which it was written. It is packed full of information that in its day, was invaluable. Sadly, for us tiday, a lot of the information cannot be used as many of the materials listed do not exist anymore.

a bit hard to follow

Much knowledge is assumed, and unfamiliar terms are used; whatever is "a yard and six nails" of fabric? Beats me.

Teaching the basics

This a very good book for teaching the very beginning and the basics of embroidery/crochet/knitting and very extensive on material.
