Ожидаемых из предваряющих слов переводчика сплошных положительных переживаний обнаружено не было. Но характеры колоритные и во всех отношениях замечательные. Хотелось бы услышать речь (вернее, ознакомиться с манерой выражаться) друга Дидро Дансени, который "любит только лошадей и в жизни не прочёл ни одной философской строчки без риска вывихнуть челюсти от зевоты", а также барона Гольбаха, во владении которого и состоит охотничий домик, в котором разворачиваются события. Hmmm... I'm not sure I would like to see this play in a theater. It's too easy to fall into vulgarity...
I'd say this book is about double standards.
As usual in Schmitt books last line makes it worth it.
But to be honest among others this one impressed me least
