I read this book off of my psychologist's recommendation, and at first was very skeptical of its school of psychology. Thankfully there was a lot more to this book than the concept of family constellations--Bert Hellinger goes on to talk about universal themes such as the transition from teenhood to adulthood, what happiness is, and the familial implications of depression. I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and found it to be both emotionally and intellectually stimulating.

Unique. Very different from must that I have read before, especially recently. It left me with a lot to think about.

I gave it four stars because this is the best choice, if you want to understand where Hellinger comes from, not because I agree with him that much.
He has some good insights, but nothing revolutionary.
He invented warm water - good. He added some real bullshit - not so good. He was the daredevil who used what he found useful - good again. But then he cmae up with some pseuscientific and pseudo-philosophical explanation about how it works - that's the worst of all.

BTW in my view

These conversations continue to delve into the thoughts of Bert Hellinger, developer of systemic constellation work. He is both original thinker and synthesizer of earlier therapies and healing methods and his new work is now sweeping the world.
