O father, ministers, and people, things appear
Pleasant, but they are sweet only in name.
Really they are like a poisonous flower:
You crave its abundant beauty, but eventually
It kills you, causing much suffering to arise.
Because you are attached to things like this,
You are confused about how to free yourselves.
Worldly things vanish like ripples on water.
Why tire and exhaust yourselves for them?
