Beginning with Nicola & Giovanni Pisano and ending with Giovanni Bologna, Mr. Avery concisely narrates the development & (the breath-taking) evolution of Florentine Renaissance sculpture (& complementary Medicean patterns of artistic patronage). Wonderful.
