Any book that so much as whispers the idea of religion in its description will usually scare me off. It's a good thing that Chance Damnation doesn't, because I would have missed a great read! I liked that, while Christian values were predominant, they were essential to the setting and to display the battle between good and evil in the story.

The characters were interesting and well developed, though it was hard for me to keep track of all of them at first. Chance Damnation had the epic feeling of

Chance Damnation by Deanna Knipping was a thrilling ride, indeed. The story is about a small town that gets invaded by demons�, half bull-half human looking creatures, who search for and kidnap a magical little girl in order to gain their chance take over the world. The action started right from the first chapter, which was much appreciated. The voice was comical and honest. The plot twisted, turned, and somersaulted throughout the entire piece.
