Lexi has everything all planned out. Working hard to obtain her college degree by day and belly dancing by night, Lexi is determined to stay on the path she wants. With her heart locked up tight, nothing will make her feel again. Through a series of unfortunate events during her childhood, including the loss of her parents, Lexi has lost all faith in herself and humanity as a whole.

This was a pretty good first book. I loved the play between Archangels , angels and demons. I have to say that even though I really liked Mikos, Rocky the imp was the best. His 20's dress and talk cracked me up.Mikos I think I needed more. There were hints of his guilt and pain but it was never really talked about and left me wondering what I was missing.I really did like how Lexi and Mikos fought their attraction for most of the book though. Now Lexi for me was a hard sell. I get the whole bein ...more

Archangel Michael has a twisted sense of humor. Fallen angel Mikos Tyomni must protect the new Defender. Oh, and help restore her faith so she can save the human race from Hell's deadliest demons. There's just one problem. Lexi Harrison wants nothing to do with him, faith or saving her fellow humans. Who wouldn't fall in love with a fallen angel determined to find his way back to heaven. With a deft hand, Ms. Knight has cleverly interwoven bits from ancient documents, making her storytelling tha ...more

Key of Solomon by Cassiel Knight
Lexi Harrison had only one month to go before graduating with her Ph.D. and leaving the city behind forever. She planned to leave for an archeology dig and never look back. Her life was already planned out and she was happy with it. She’d be away from all these cursed people; she disliked virtually all of mankind and counted down the days until she could be away from most of it.
Her mentor and favorite professor, one of the few people she did like, called her into
Lexi Harrison has a lot going on in her life. She's trying to get a PhD and make enough money to survive by dancing. She's got it running fairly smoothly until one day a mysterious stranger gets under her skin in a major way while she's performing. After he comes to her rescue, she soon learns a lot about this man. Mikos is a fallen angel, and he's been sent to help Lexi realize her true destiny. Unfortunately Mikos has two major problems- Lexi isn't buying it, and Mikos is majorly attracted to ...more

Fallen Angel? Sign Me Up! This book was a joy to read, with its strong characters you will no doubt fall in love with as soon as start reading. It's complete with a sexy (Drool worthy) fallen angel Mikos, and a heroine you would not want to cross. The plot flowed, and the pace was fast. The writing style and setting were amazing. I like how the author threw in enough known facts into this tempting read, to make it believable. I also really like this cover. I was torn between a 5 star rating (Wou ...more

Life and humanity had not been kind to Lexi. After her parents deaths, she had been shuffled through the foster care system leaving scars on her young psyche. She is within a gnat’s hair of receiving her PhD in archeology when life takes another swipe at her. It seems that Lexi is next in line to be a Defender. A hereditary position handed down through her father’s line. The Defender is the keeper of the Key or the Book of Solomon. This ancient relic was devised by King Solomon himself, used to ...more

Mix together a belly dancer, a fallen angel, some demons, and a rock that can change shapes and you get a really good story…

This author has created a really good fantasy novel with magical characters and complex personalities. I kept turning pages to see who was going to show up next, and Ms. Knight didn’t disappoint me.

She has developed a story containing fast action, danger and angels and demons all going after an old relic that the main female character, Lexi, thinks is unimportant. Ms. Kni

The Key of Solomon is a great book, and I really enjoyed reading it, and its sequel, The Death Skull. Part urban fantasy, with a little paranormal romance, and plenty of action and suspense, I was hooked from the very beginning of the book and I knew as soon as I finished it I wanted to read more about the characters that are introduced in this novel. The Key of Solomon focuses on Lexi and Mikos.

The one thing I need to say about Lexi, is the fact I thought she was plain awesome. She's sarcastic,

Key of Solomon is the first of Cassiel Knight’s series of Relic Defenders. This initial story involves anthropology student Lexi Harrison. Lexi is alone in the world and her past prevents her from trusting easily. Enter Mikos Tymoni, a fallen angel that has to convince Lexi she is the Defender – the last line of defense to save the world from evil. It was awesome.
OK i am not just saying that because I won the book in the goodreads giveaway.
it has angels and demons and a few self discoveries along the way.
Does lexi choose good or evil? It is the question that remains on your mind for a while.
But enough about my little teaser how about I give you a little know you want it!

I read the first book in this series for this tour. I must say it was a refreshing change to some of the other paranormal books I’ve been reading. It was kind of a Lara Croft Tomb Raider mash-up with a paranormal romance. Lexi is a great protagonist, one that really proves her worth in the first book, as someone you want to see do well.

From a writer’s perspective, I have a bit of a pet peave about starting books with the character’s name. It’s not a huge error or anything, but as a writer myself

Key of Solomon (Relic Defender #1) (Cassiel Knight)

Lexi Harrison is a part time belly dancer trying to earn her PhD in Anthropology. She has her life mapped out, she has a shield around her heart. She lost her parents and her faith at an early age.

One day while dancing the crowd gets out of control and someone comes to her rescue. To her surprise this man is not quite what she thinks he is , he has mysterious eyes and wings.

Soon bizarre events occur and demons appear, she is not s

It's a kick-assitude story of choices with mystical and historical elements. Once Lexi (and readers) meet Rocky-the-changeling-imp the subtle shifts from dark and dangerous to surreal entertainment begin. The angel-demon politics are a bit bent, the angel wings are awesome and the vampy-demon wears some great costumes that could horribly clash with her hair and eyes, if she was human.

It's a quest story with surprising twists and Lexi is a sensual and reluctant heroine who can curl up in a chair

What would happen if it was in your hands to save the world? What would your answer when you have no family and they ask you to believe in God when he didn't helped your family? Would you still believe in God? Or would you be like our heroine, Lexi, in doubt? I have to say that one of the things I liked was that I trully understand what lexi was feeling. I felt her suffer that she was all alone and how a woman can sometimes well be like a flower when you have to work in a place full of jerks, wh ...more

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book and the relationship between Lexi and Mikos. I was laughing and smiling and smirking at their banter. They are totally enamored with each other and want to just devour each other but fight it every step of the way. I also yelled at times at Lexi for being so bull-headed and stubborn. She wanted to try to deal with the demons without a man coming to her rescue. But she would get in trouble and wind up nee ...more

I got hooked on this story quickly. I love a feisty heroine and Lexi is as feisty as they come. Even while struggling with life, then having the rug pulled out from underneath her, she keeps her sass. :) And Mikos is the quintessential good guy in a bad guy suit. Wow. Hot, dark, and to-die-for. It definitely makes for some fun, and sexy, sparring. The tension between these two kept me turning the pages. I also love the author’s take on angels and archangels. Add in a ethereal power struggle and ...more

I don’t like biographies, but I realize they are important. I think. For those of you interested in these things, here’s mine. I’ve been a writer ever since I can remember. Which, I’m afraid, isn’t as far back as most writers seem to remember.

The first time I put pen to paper to write fiction was after reading The Flame and The Flower by Rosemary Rogers. At the time, I was in high school and thoug
