I've not yet read this book cover to cover, but this book seems comprehensive--Zweede-Tucker includes information on milk and fiber goat breeds, guardian dogs and heritage breeding/conservation. She urges the reader to be clear on his or her intentions when embarking on raising meat goats. She explains in detail the goat's digestive process and includes many pictures of a doe giving birth. Great section on halal "harvesting" will put many newbies at ease.
