Today the church in America stands at a crossroads . . . we must awaken from our slumber.
Today followers of Christ are still challenged by this question which causes each of us to put our own morality in perspective. Red Sky in the Morning urges every Christian to answer the question, "What would Jesus do about the moral and spiritual decline in America today?"
Bill Bright answers that question. This book, co-written with John Damoose, is a must for every youth, college and adult Sunday school class. It will take you on an exciting adventure exploring how God birthed this nation and how we can help bring about a moral and spiritual rebirth in our beloved country.
William R. Bright was an American evangelist. In 1951 at the University of California, Los Angeles, he founded Campus Crusade for Christ as a ministry for university students. In 1952 he wrote The Four Spiritual Laws. In 1979 he produced the film Jesus. In 1996 Bill Bright was awarded the $1.1 million Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, and donated the money to promote the spiritual benefits of fasting and prayer. In 2001 he stepped down as leader of the organization and Steve Douglass became president.
Amazing book. The beginning was very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about our founding fathers and their original intent for our country. This was written in a way that I was interested and understood it. I NEVER would have paid attention to learn this stuff in school, however if it would have been presented the way Dr. Bill Bright presents it, I would have been a very good student. The middle section on how and why our country is so screwed up isn't really anything I found new and was able to skim over some of it but then the end again was very good. Well worth buying and passing on to friends when you are done.
So far it is one of those take it or leave it books. It depends on the style you like and the voice you want to hear when you hear about the end of America. It is very insightful and predictable.
Just could not finish the book... the same stuff over and over....
