Presented in dialogue form, Kabbalah Simply Stated is an easy-to-read brief introduction to the topic of Jewish mysticism. If you're already familiar with the metaphysics of Plato, then you've got a head start on the Kabbalah. It maps things out a bit more precisely, but all the essential topics are presented: God's creation via emanation, the eternally existent Soul, parts of the Soul, learning as remembering what one already knows, and so forth.
