Good beginner chapter book for 1st graders to read. There are different stories in this book that involve life lessons with getting along with others even though they are different etc.

With the second in this new series, Bunting continues the same balance of humor and friendship. In the first story, Frog invites a new animal to his party, a chameleon that he thinks is lonely. Although his friends aren't sure they want to accept the chameleon, Frog is determined to welcome this new friend. With a happy twist, the chameleon discovers how much fun the other animals have with his trick of changing colors.

In my favorite story of the lot, "No Kisses for Frog", a little g
Frog throws his annual fall party, and invites all of his friends, but when he invites Chameleon his friends are against it, but Frog invites him anyway, and when it was time for party tricks Chameleon amazes everyone. Frog likes to dance, and soon discovers that his dancing brings joy to everyone. Frog tells a little girl all the reasons why she shouldn't kiss him.

This story takes readers on a journey of what it is like to be a frog named Frog. Frog lives in nature with his friends Raccoon, Rabbit, Possum, and Squirrel.

In the first chapter, Frog is hosting his annual fall party. As it is discussed, fall is Frog's favorite time of year. Honoring this, Frog wants everyone in nature to feel included so this year he decided to invite a new friend named Chameleon. At first Frog's friends were unhappy that he invited a new person to join their group but after

This upsets some of his friends because they don’t want the party to change. Frog not wanting to leave anyone out invites him anyways. By the end of the party even one likes Chameleon and his special trick of blending in with things around him.

In chapter two – Frog dances in his free time because it ma

This early reader series is really growing on me, and who doesn't love Eve Bunting? Cute, cartoon style illustrations. Good messages of friendship and acceptance. (It's important to invite everyone to the fall party!) Went on to read the 3rd one next!

Three stories that make readers think about being new or shy in a group, being embarrassed and talking your way out of a sticky situation. Cute illustrations.
