Evadne "Eve" Cavell is an assistant professor at Bellingham College. She teaches about Women in Fiction. At first glance you would never guess that Eve's favorite passtime is to go to her local movie theather The DeLuxe. She goes every Thursday not for the movie but for some satisfying pleasure. This is because, Eve is thirty-five and a very volumpous woman with lots of lovin to give. It is in the dark movie theather that she lets strangers fondle her. It works out great this way. Eve doesn't ha
very graphic, lots of love scenes, about a woman exploring her sexuality and maybe finding someone to be happy with. not for those who dont like a lot of sexual content.

Messalina: Devourer of Men by Zetta Brown is a page-turner. From the onset, Dr. Evadne Cavall pulls you in with her sexual conquests at The DeLuxe Theater where she enjoys being fondled by anonymous men. But it is her by-day persona that really makes her an intriguing character. As an assistant professor striving to be tenured at Denver's Bellingham College, her demure personality does more than raise questions; especially since it is all a façade. Sexual frustration is what leads Eva to seek se ...more

The Messalina comes to terms with her sensuality spiraling from a culmination of events that `seemed' predictable, but to the contrary turned out to be quite uncanny, and quite fascinating. I really appreciated how Evie addressed her parents as her life was spiraling out of control. And the little assistant, Neil, I found myself pulled in two ways guessing how his role would play out. Reaching the final quarter of the book I was like, noooooo...wishing I were wrong.

Hats off to Mrs. Zetta Brown! I actually stumbled onto her site by way of another of another author's site, and I am so glad I clicked on that author's links. Messalina was a well conceived, original erotic story. And all thanks to Zetta, her writing is exceptional and the story moved along well. It was appealing to see how imperfect a lover Jared was, but I loved him anyway. And Evadne (loved that name, btw) was a delicious complexity all her own. The sub characters were great as well, and I do ...more

LOVE this book! Didn't want to put it down. It's unique, it has hot sex (with a purpose), and the characters are like some I've never seen in books before. First chapter alone will get you in the mood! Messalina: Devourer of Men has much HEAT and much HEART.

Messalina, in history, was a Roman Empress with a very bad reputation. Most people, myself included, don't know much about the details, but enough juju lingers to be spooked by the name itself. Add to this a cartoon of a woman who looks powerful enough to snap off your head and s--t down your neck if you pissed her off, plus the subtitle "Devourer of Men," and you may understand why this book lingered on my Kindle for a year. She SCARED me.

Then I read it. Loved it. Messalina - a cartoon characte

I enjoyed this book. I do love a plus sized woman, especially one unashamed to be a sexual being, although, there are times when she is. This story is about Jared and Evadne. Evadne is a college professor and Jared is an artist. Their relationship is odd to me because I see the sexual side of it easily, however, it don't really get that warm fuzzy until he asks her to not leave him later in the book. If you are looking for some nice hot sex, this couple has it. The thing that annoyed me in the bo ...more
