A great trip back to Indiana

One of my favorite cities is Bloomington, Indiana, and it was good to go back and visit for a while. It felt like being back home. Such a great, and hysterical, story. I actually believed right up to the end that they would win and was sorry they didn't

I also got the "tub of goo" reference at the very end.

This sports book would be great for anyone that is familiar with Bloomington, IN. There is an attempt to buy the Los Angeles Dodgers. If you like a humorous book and sports you will love this book. I received this book from the Goodreads Giveaways for a review.

Trolley Dodgers is a fun tale of a midwest town's journey to purchase a major league baseball team -- and that team happens to be the Los Angeles Dodgers. The author's Indiana roots are evident throughout this story that seems absurd on the surface, but connects with some of my own childhood fantasies. This is a funny, enjoyable read probably best suited for tween and young teenage readers.

I won this book as part of a Goodreads Giveaway.

I won this novella ina goodreads drawing.

A somewhat entertaining book about how a reporter's column inspires the town of Bloomington, Indiana to try to buy the LA Dodgers baseball team. They raise all kinds of money, there's all kinds of drama, and the reporter falls in love.

Not bad.

For some reason, when I won the Goodreads giveaway for Trolley Dodgers, I thought it was nonfiction. (The premise appealed to me.) It's a very enjoyable, quick-paced novel & would adapt well to film. I especially liked the epigraphs for each chapter. ...more

As I am legally blind, I used something called an eye-max to read this book. I found the book enjoyable and left me smiling. A good read.

Jeff Stanger writes funny novels that usually have the game of baseball as a backdrop. You don't have to be a student of the game or even a fan to enjoy them, however. There is enough mystery, danger, and even romance to keep you on the edge of your seat. His current work includes the Quick Baseball Mystery Series which follows the exploits of a rare baseball memorabilia dealer who always seems to ...more
