A collection of retellings of the Ramayana from female voices of Kerala. The Ramayana is one of the most important stories in Indian culture (as well as in other Asian cultures), and one of the more complicated stories from a feminist perspective. For that reason it is especially fascinating to see it reshaped by south Indian women.
