Witch Got Your Tongue? #1 – I had the pleasure of reading Ms. Washburn’s Naughty or Nice last year and loved it. I love this book even more being a big good witch fan. The storylines are rather interesting and has a new twist to the common theme of a non-practicing witch, which made the story even more interesting.

The characters are great to good. The relationship of the roommates is believable and realistic. Even the baddies are developed enough to get their number. There is good dialog and ad

Book Review- Witch Got Your Tongue by Livia J. Washburn

Aren McAllister has a difficulty speaking. She stutters and it has made her life miserable. She can’t seem to find her way. It’s hard living under the shadow of her brother and the disappointment of her parents. She didn’t finish college as she couldn’t choose a career she felt comfortable with or a chance at success. Her self-esteem is extremely low. So she is forced to work at temp agencies to make ends meet.
That is how she finds herself d

This review might seem different than my usual. Since this is a rather short novella length, at least in my opinion, I am writing up a novella style review. Seems fair, right? Because let's be honest, it doesn't make a lick of sense to write a lengthy, wordy review when the subject book was under 100 pages. Don't let the page count fool you though, this is an excellent end of summer beach type read, something to relax with, a brief repast from everyday stresses. I'm not always a fan of the short ...more

This story follows Aren who has stuttered all her life but discovers that she can sing without stuttering. This leads to a discovery of magnitude (to her) and so the story starts.

This is a quick read and is ok. For me there's just a tad too much insta-love that is then shrugged off as a spell later on in the book, along with a "horniness spell"! The book was funny in places and quirky in others but was very 'sweet'.

Good for a coffee break book but with the ending, I hope you have book 2 lined up

I read the book in one sitting and could not put it down! I have been anticipating this book for a long time and was thrilled when it was published and I got to read it. My mother who is not a fan of "witch" anything REALLY enjoyed reading this book. She said she would with out a doubt pick up the second book when it comes out. I think Livia has a beautiful way to capture the characters in the story and it really deserves more amazing reviews! It is by far one of the best books I read this year! ...more

This was a "cute" story about a young woman who discovers that she is actually a very powerful witch.
She is sweet and trusting and therefore a good witch.

I am a big fan of the author's Fresh Baked series and I think I will stick with that one.

This is a paranormal short and I enjoyed it. I like the balance, not too dark which many urban fantasy are and humorous. Just right. Hope the second one is as good.
