Y’all why did I love this book soooooooooooooo fkn much!!!!!!!!! I meannnnnnnn!!!!!!!! Top fkn tier!!!!!!!!!! For those of you that read the Saadik series by LB, didn’t Yakima remind you of Bilan?! Maybe not the rough upbringing but that “no nonsense, I’m not about to fkn play with you nigga not even a little bit” type of energy! That “play with ya mama don’t play with me energy”!!! That “I can show you better than I can tell you” energy!!!! That “I will check ya whole mf family” energy!!!!! That “🗣️FINISH HIMMMMMM” energy!!!!!!! Yakima was with the shitz and brought Fransisco to his mf kneeeeeeesssssss!!!!!!!!!! I can’t stand the rain crying on ya ring camera aśs nîgga!!!! 😩😩😩😩 I 👏🏽WAS 👏🏽HERE 👏🏽FOR 👏🏽IT!!!!!

And not just in the states, the Matisse family was international and NOTHING to play with! As the oldest son of Frances IV, he was “large and in charge” 🗣️big boiiiiiiii *in my B.A.P.S voice. He was responsible for running a multi billion dollar empire comprised of both legal and illegal businesses. After a run in with the Mayor and realizing he needed to bring out the big gunz, the BIGGEST gun named Yakima fell into his lap and a plan was set in motion. What started out as “business” in my Alyce and Yakima voices, turned into the BIGGEST return on Friscos investment! Yakima’s words not mine 🤭 Chyyyyy Yakima put that BIG GIRL ENERGY on my man my man and he was shooketh! I mean in the bedroom alone the tongue was delivering chills up that spine that aśs was hers!! On SEVERAL occasions Frisco asked HER “why you fkn me like this?!” 😮💨😮💨 Kima, sis teach us the game Ghost!!!! Sis said but he gotta eat the booty like groceries, but he gotta get rid of these heaux for me (🗣️AND DID!!) I might have that nigga selling his souls fa me (🗣️AND DID!!!) oooooooooo that’s how it’s pose’ tuh beeeeeee!!!!! 🤭🤭🤭 🗣️AND WAS!!!!

I went from feeling sorry for you to wanting to put you out of your misery! The way you allowed that man to play in your whole entire face was insane and the second hand embarrassment I felt reading about your decisions and what you allowed to was too much after a while. You were down bad sis and your friends should’ve jacked you up! 🥴😵💫

I could honestly go on and on about how much I loved this book. If you’ve read it, then you get it and if you haven’t stop what you’re doing and READ IT NOW!!! These brothers came with some serious BME (Big Matisse Energy) and I’m ready to gobble up Foxx’s story!!

THIS MESSY ASS BOOK 🤣 Who knew a relationship based on deceit, retaliation, and blackmail could result in such a beautiful disaster for this couple? I found myself intrigued and shocked by parts in this book. Frisco intended to create a false courting situation with Kima, but he had no idea he was going to fall in love. The two have great chemistry because of their playful banter and mutual commitment to keeping one other in check also the sexual tension... Yakima was, in every sense, his equal. She was able to make me forget that he was a fuck boy whenever they were together. There was pressure, but ultimately I wanted Nema to be held accountable. I felt like she got off tooo easily that hoe needed to be put in the ground. No, I didn't feel sorry for Alyce because she was simply stupid; a woman with self-respect would never believe a man's lies, no matter how long they’ve been together. Yakima father was sooo annoying like she was too grown to be treated like that. The brothers intrigue me because, to me, they remain a mystery. So im here for Foxx story next.

This story didn’t have to be this good. This is my second book by Bianca, and now I feel like I need to take a deep dive into her catalog.
Frisco had all the nerve and audacity cause he tried ME by saying what he said to Alyce. I wanted to hate him, but damn it, I couldn’t. Frisco had me out here rooting for his sexy, toxic ass 😍🥰. Frisco was definitely a boss because he and his family ran the streets. He came up with this elaborate plan to prove that, above all, he’s a MATISSE. A plan we all knew was just going to blow up in his face. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the caca to hit the fan. Kima was a boujie sheltered woman. But, she’s still very independent and can dish it out just as she can take it. She met Frisco accidentally, and it was clear there was attraction there. They had great banter and conversation. They were nasty between the sheets. But these two took me on a roller coaster ride with all the drama and secrets. Scolding myself for waiting this long to read this little gem. If you haven't done so yet, get into this.

I’m ashamed I love this problematic man! 😭
One thing a man will have is audacity and that’s exactly what Francisco had making his live-in girlfriend play housekeeper while he was in a fake relationship with Yakima! Like what was he thinking?!? Why do I still want him as my book bae?!? To know that he went into this fake dating situation to blackmail and handle another situation makes this much worse BUT this story and the drama was everything! The pacing was great and the different POVs were also great! There wasn’t a dull moment where I wasn’t a single moment where I wasn’t intrigued or ready to put the book down. A few things that bothered me was the parent's triangle situation. I wanted Yolanda with Anthony because Henry was doing too much smh. Nema deserved more pain lol and Alyce was just dumb. There’s no way I’d be Alyce! I was happy we got our HEA but I was scared we weren’t going to make it when all the secrets were revealed! This is cinema! Lmao like if you want family drama, love triangle, fake dating, mob ties, blackmail, or a boss/gangster falling head over hills in love for a woman this is the book you need to read! And yes the sceks scenes were bomb! 🤭 I wouldn’t be mad if we get more books in this world and I’m ready to read more from Bianca Xaviera!

Boss Baby 🖤
Now Bianca, how did you make me fall in love with this toxic man!? Ugh 😩 I loved this book so much- I was so mad when I got to the last page. I didn’t want it to end.
It was SO MESSY and I hated how Francisco deceived Ki in the beginning but I loved when they fell in love. I loved Ki’s character - she said whatever was on her mind. She was almost child like to me in a few instances but when they got to the bedroom?! Boss Baby was a full grown Woman and she loved to talk her sh*t!!
Let’s just get to Alyce. Girl. I found myself saying “baby what is you doing?!” so many times 😂 she was so desperate I could barely stand it! Not you agreeing to act like the housekeeper 😩 when she listened to them …I almost threw my phone 😂
Oh and Ki’s dad? Honey, he annoyed me to no end because why are you treating this almost 30 year old young lady like she’s 12? I get that he’s a cop and was over protective but sir - get a life.
This was such a good read, I can see myself reading it again. It was my first read from this author and it will not be the last!

I LOVE my fictional male characters toxic AF and Frisco was BEYOND toxic 😍😍. This book was FULLA mess and I loved every bit of it 😂😂. I can’t wait for the next book.

Francisco “Frisco” Matisse, was groomed to take over the Matisse empire, & since his father stepped down he was now in charge. He and his 3 brothers Foxx, Finn, & Free were not to be played with, OKAY!? Frisco prided himself on putting his “business” first & he planned on making Yakima Melvin “business” due to a run in he had with the mayor! What did the mayor have to do with Yakima you ask….. well, you have to read to find that out! Either way, imagine trying to use someone as a pawn only to fall in love with them 🤣😂…! Parts of Frisco & Yakima’s road to love was beautiful & some parts were not..! To me, they had a spice & ice relationship, & went through it to get to their happy ending!!
We are not going to just skip over Roger & Reese either!!! They stole many shows in this read, I loved those dogs because they were the definition of RIDERS!!!
Alyce had to be the biggest, & I do mean the B I G G E S T, most goofy girlfriend in book history! The things that took place in this book that she was apart of had me clutching my P E A R L S, because what!!? I was over here screaming “there’s no way this could have happened!” 😂🤣 anyway, her friends were clowns too, judgmental, & gave horrible advice! However, Yakima’s bestfriend Laila was G A N G G A N G!!! & I’m glad that Yakima smacked fire and desire out of Nema, she was the WORST!
When I tell you I was S I C K of Yakima’s parents (B O T H of them) I mean that with my whole heart! Henry was trash, but Yolanda wasn’t that far off to me! The fact that Yakima blamed Frisco for the reason her life blew up was crazy! Yes, he definitely played a part, but he wasn’t the one who lied and deceived her for her entire life! Nonetheless, the book was well written.
One last thing, I will say that I think Finneas “Finn” Matisse is going to have the B E S T story & he was my favorite!!!

This book was a true page turner and another reminder of the fierceness of Bianca’s pen. I loved the dynamic between Frisco and Yakima! She matched his energy, never bit her tongue, and truly liked his company. There is a nine-year age gap between the two, but I couldn’t tell. The chemistry and love were oozing from the pages. Happiness looked good on Frisco. The things he did for Yakima, could not convince me that this was fake. I was so nervous that Frisco would not allow Yakima in, but he proved me wrong, and subsequently fell in love... His brothers were right when they said things would blow up.
Bianca managed to turn a relationship that was built on a lie and revenge and created a beautiful story. There were so many twists that came up, I really couldn’t see how they could ever be together, but it happened.

Unexpected Love
I loved everything about this messy azz story! I love when the mmc FALLS DEEPLY FIRST! When I tell yall Frisco FELL off a mf cliff, he was a GONER! Frisco thought he was gone flex and make a quick little point, but his azz ain't know what hit him. He was not ready for the cool azz chick that Yakima was. Play Daniel Caeser's Get You.... cuz Frisco was singing "Everytime I look into your eyes I feel it...Who Would've Thought I get Youuuuuuu"
Frisco was a BOSS. He handled business legally and illegally. When one of his role players decided to flex and get out of line he set out to teach him a lesson....so he thought. Instead it was Frisco who learned a lesson. He learned that he was just out here existing. He had never experienced love at all. He thought Yakima was going to be in and out of his life until he realized he could not picture a life without her. Everything he said he wouldn't do, he did for her. He rarely smiled, but she had him laughing all the time. Their chemistry was off the charts. When they were rapping in the kitchen...I was like does this ninja not understand how deeply in love he is?? Then when Yakima put it ON HIM. I knew Alyce (I'll get to her dumbazz) didn't stand a mf chance lol. This man was really moaning and talking bout "Why you fking me like this!" I bout diedddddddd lol. He was not ready at all. Frisco was loyal to a default though and I swear I was on edge trying to figure out how all this mess was gone end. Cuz the Boss had fell hard for the Boss Baby and he didn't know his way out...
Yakima the Boss Baby was living her best life. Frisco kept crossing her path and she kept him at arms length for awhile but he wore her down and she just could not deny this fine azz man nor their chemistry. I LOVED Yakima cuz she was not the 1 nor the mf 2 and she made sure Frisco understood that. They started off just having fun, but baby it accelerated fast. I read this book because my book friend said Yakima gave her Bilan energy from the Sadik series and she definitely did!! I was here for all the smoke. She was not afraid to choose herself and made sure Frisco understood that she was not about to play Alyce in wonderland with his azz. She was a breath of fresh air. She was fun and stood on who she was as a woman. She didn't want to be taken care of and she refused to fall to a point where she was left with nothing. I respected her. Her world was turned upside down and I was glad to see her recover.
I can't end without talking about clueless, dumbazz, insane, stupid azz Alyce. She was supposedly Frisco's main chick, but baby ain't no way I'm stooping to the lows she endured just to keep a man. Why would a man want to be with a doormat? I just cannot understand what made her think this was going to end well. Girl if that is a ride or die chick I don't want no parts of it. Alyce ain't no dck ever been that good.
I love the Matisse brothers! Foxx was a fool and I can't wait to read his reckless azz story. Finn is my fave, because he was mysterious and I need to see what he was about.
There is so much more to say, but I'm going to close with it was worth reading all those damn pages. Time well spent!

I knew Alyce (I'll get to her dumbazz) didn't stand a mf chance lol. This man was really moaning and talking bout "Why you fking me like this!" I bout diedddddddd lol. He was not ready at all. Frisco was loyal to a default though and I swear I was on edge trying to figure out how all this mess was gone end. Cuz the Boss had fell hard for the Boss Baby and he didn't know his way out...
Yakima the Boss Baby was living her best life. Frisco kept crossing her path and she kept him at arms length for awhile but he wore her down and she just could not deny this fine azz man nor their chemistry. I LOVED Yakima cuz she was not the 1 nor the mf 2 and she made sure Frisco understood that. They started off just having fun, but baby it accelerated fast. I read this book because my book friend said Yakima gave her Bilan energy from the Sadik series and she definitely did!! I was here for all the smoke. She was not afraid to choose herself and made sure Frisco understood that she was not about to play Alyce in wonderland with his azz. She was a breath of fresh air. She was fun and stood on who she was as a woman. She didn't want to be taken care of and she refused to fall to a point where she was left with nothing. I respected her. Her world was turned upside down and I was glad to see her recover.
I can't end without talking about clueless, dumbazz, insane, stupid azz Alyce. She was supposedly Frisco's main chick, but baby ain't no way I'm stooping to the lows she endured just to keep a man. Why would a man want to be with a doormat? I just cannot understand what made her think this was going to end well. Girl if that is a ride or die chick I don't want no parts of it. Alyce ain't no dck ever been that good.
I love the Matisse brothers! Foxx was a fool and I can't wait to read his reckless azz story. Finn is my fave, because he was mysterious and I need to see what he was about.
There is so much more to say, but I'm going to close with it was worth reading all those damn pages. Time well spent!

I like the idea of this story but I hate that you had to degrade another female so Yakima could like she had the upper hand. I know the idea behind these stories is drama but you could have made him single. I felt sorry for Alyce because she didn’t deserve to be treated that way. If anyone should be hurt it’s Alyce although she allowed him to treat her any kind of way she should have put her foot down in the beginning of the relationship.

I hate reading a book about a man that's been in a relationship with a woman that he has been friends with for years and end up in a relationship with her for years. Then, Bam! He meets someone else and the author has to make the Roman he's been with for years a bad person just to weave a story so the new girl can end up the Victor! I feel bad for Alyce and so many real women like her! But, I knew where this story was going from the onset. I just had to read a little more to see if I was right. When Frisco finds out Yakima’s connection to his enemy he decides to form a relationship with Yakima for leverage. His business decision not only affects him and Yakima but also his 6-year relationship with girlfriend Alyce. Frisco has his plan all worked out but he never factored in falling in love.
Listen Bianca Xaviera had me in a chokehold with this book. I loved Frisco and Yakima. Frisco was a boss honey, whenever he spoke everyone fell in line but when it came to Yakima bro fell all the way in line. I loved Yakima’s personality, she was a boss chick in her own way plus she was determined, inquisitive, talkative, and funny. I like how she was able to bring the playful side out of Frisco. Frisco had me feeling like it was real from day one so I don’t blame Yakima for falling hard for the man. I felt bad for Alyce but you can’t help who you love, plus ain’t no way I would of went along with Frisco’s plan in the first place. Bro would have had me all the way messed up. I don’t care how good the D is. Ain’t nothing like a boss who will beg his woman to forgive him. I probably would have forgiven Frisco a lot sooner because bro had me weak for him so kudos for Yakima for holding out as long as she did. This book is my first book by this author and I will be reading more books by this author. Yakima was really nice while giving Frisco a run for his money because she was asking questions and letting him know she made her own money. I usually stay away from age gap books because this has to be one of my favorite age gap books. Alyce got on my last nerves because I just wanted her to stand up and give with some money or something. I love the fact that Yakima made Frisco beg and apply pressure throughout the book. Overall this book is one of my favorite books. Frisco was down bad because he fell first and I loved that.

It's 3 am CST and I've just finished reading hoping & praying this not the end! 🤣 I instantly fell in love with all the brothers although this is Frisco's story. The little info provided on the brothers is intriguing & I pray they all get a book soon. I loved the character development & relationships of Frisco & Ki with their family and friends. I could go on & on but I loved every darn thing about this book. It's an easy 5 🌟 read and I hope this author will bless us with more of the Matisse family soon! 👏 👏 🔥 🔥

Frisco has more of it than a fully grown Karen. I swore to myself around 32% in I wasn’t going to fall for this man but I might have, just a little bit. Yakima was a really fun character, a little chaotic but super relatable. The pace of this story was really good, I was completely enthralled. I haven’t finished a 400pg book in one day in a while but there was just no putting this book down. This is a new to me author and I enjoyed her writing style, I love authors who don’t shy away from multiple povs.

This book made me so mad. Yakima kind of acted like a fan. She was way smarter than how she acted. I didn’t like Frisco. I also don’t like when a couple is successful at the expense of someone else. How real could Frisco be doing that to his girlfriend of many years? Especially when she didn’t do anything to warrant his actions. Packed up his girlfriend in another room and made it seem like she was the housekeeper??? Hell no!!! Frisco too manipulative for me.
I didn’t care for the writing. Everything was over explained.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I am kicking myself in the shin for waiting this long to read this book! Yes! Yes! Bianca-okay girl! You did that and more! When I tell you this book had me HOOKED from beginning to end and it hit the marks for me- great pacing, development, a hero with BDE and a heroine who talked back! I loved to see it. Never thought that I would be rooting for Frisco because of this audacity but baby if push came to shove, I would’ve been folded like a lawn chair. I think this book has crack in it because it was executed perfectly, with the drama, the secrets and deceit. It gave me just enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. Alyce- i truly felt fore her because she didn’t deserve anything that she went through and she was really the victim. Men will really waste your time until they find the lives of their lives and move on without a acre. A moment of silence for my good sis. I wanted to hug her through this book. I loved to see Frisco for pegged down a notch or two concerning love and this book executed it in top tier style. Great job Bianca.

First of all, I'll never forgive Frisco for how he caused all this chaos and embarrassment for my girl, Kima. Now that I got that off my chest, I loved this book. It was a mess that I couldn't put down.
Frisco charming and quick- witted ass had me hot the entire book. He played a dangerous game, and so many people got hurt. Outside of his bs and drama, him and Kima were a perfect match. He does have some redeeming qualities, but I have been known to hold a grudge. So it's f him and his momma until I had time to heal.
If you couldn't tell, Yakima was my favorite character. She was inquisitive, funny, and just a likable character, but sis really had me fooled. I thought homegirl was a shy good girl mixed up in the wrong crowd, but nah. One minute, she was running scared, looking for hiding places to bussin it wide open and bringing Frisco ass to his knees. This wasn't the average good girl who falls for the bad boy trope at all.
This is one of my faves this year, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

The story follows the head of a crime family who unapologetically played in the faces of not one, but two women at the same time. What began as a fake-dating “business arrangement” meant to intimidate a public official quickly spiraled into the very love he didn’t realize he was missing—or desperately needed. The playful banter and perfect comedic timing added so much depth to the storyline.
This was an immersive reading experience brought to life by multiple narrators. This was my first book by this author, but it absolutely will not be my last.

So this is my first time reading anything from this author and it surely will not be the last! I came across this author and this book due to an instagram story post by an author who I follow with her congratulating this author on her new release. So I just went for it not knowing what to expect. Didn't read a synopsis or nothing, just went for it. And baby this book is so good! I loved Yakima and Frisco. Can I get a Frisco please? I need a him in my life. I can't find anything I didn't like about this book. The characters were so well written and well developed. The story was great. I laughed. A lot! Was angry. Just had all the emotions one should have. This might've made its way to being the best book I've read so far for 2023. I literally stayed up all night reading. I did not want to put this book down. 5 star read. Highly recommend.

I guess I’m the only one who couldn’t look pass the cheating and the disrespect. Using Yakima as a pawn wasn’t even that bad to me. The simple face that Frisco had his girlfriend of 6 years to pretend to be a maid in their OWN HOUSE blew my freaking mind!! And not only that, he fucked Yakima in that same house while Alyce (his girlfriend) was there in which she heard them! There is no way in hell I would want a man like that. Rich, fine, dickmatized…my ass is still chucking up them deuces as soon as he came to me with that nonsense. All in all it was a good book. It kept me entertained; however, I did skip around and skim a lot because it was uncomfortable reading from Alyce point of view and I just didn’t like Frisco. So I was ready to be done with the book. I did like how Yakima made him grovel to get her back but my ass still wouldn’t have taken him back. This was my first read of this author’s work and it was okay. Just not my cup of tea. I will check out her other works. Hopefully I’ll like those!
