I feel like I definitely wasn't the target audience for this book, and that's because it's very boring/basically written with more common sense within this cover than much in the way of insight. Also, it was written very much towards gay culture to the exclusion of any other culture that might be interested in this kind of play.

Training was the main part of the book that I was here for, especially given that it is right there in the title, but it was given one chapter just after the midway point. Thankfully, that single chapter was well fleshed out and left me with some ideas that I would like to come back to.

Other areas were quite introductory, probably more so than would be applicable to someone who had already decided to pick this book up; such as, how to know that you might be interested in this kind of play, either as handler or pup, safewords and general roles within this subculture.

Worthwhile reading for those on either side of the crop and leash, and has perspectives useful to anyone interested in human pets. I own and loan this book. I will probably own several copies because of giving some away.
