A "feel good" novel about a young Jewish immigrant's first three years in the U.S. Suhl's descriptive prose paints a vibrant picture of the Brooklyn Jewish neighborhood to which Schloime (Sol) Kenner & his father emigrate. A charming book.

both a read and a re-read! A really sweet book. not sure that all of its is really for 'all ages' (as the goodread summary states)--- but most of it really is!!
