Very Richard Paul Evanesc I thought. I thought it was ok although I figured out who the mystery person was in the first several chapters. I seems these Richards just keep writing the same story over and over again. Like I said it was ok.
It's a sweet story, ... and if you've read Atlas Shrugged, perhaps a little too sweet when it came to running the family business (if you know what I mean). I did appreciate the relationships in the book though; they were close, warm and meaningful - just as relationships should be and what we all aspire to.

This book made me mad. If it was such a good marriage and William Martin was such a great man, why did no one know about him until after his death. It was a contrived mystery.

Sweet "old time" Christmas story. Will's parents die when he is young and he is raised by his grandparents in a small town. Will's grandpa dies and he comes back to the small town to "wrap up" his grandpa's business. As he stays - he learns so much about his Grandpa and his Grandma asks him for one thing for Christmas - to find out who Lillian is - a lady who is Grandpa visited every Christmas Eve.
I wanted to read a holiday themed book, but not something too corny or sappy. This fit the bill perfectly. It was an enjoyable story, and I enjoyed the writer’s style. I would highly recommend for a fun holiday read. Now to find something for next year ........
This is a really 'sweet' read for Christmas. I've seen the movie years ago and it completely follows the book. A wonderful story of a young man really discovering who his grandfather was and the man he wants to be.
Thoroughly enjoyed this delightful story!
Not really about Christmas as it is an inspiring book of family and the legacy we each leave behind. A couple try to solve a mystery in time for Christmas.
Fantastic Christmas book.
The writing is a bit stilted in the beginning, especially the dialogue. But the story’s twist ending is a good one. A nice, quick and uplifting holiday read.

A great book to get into the spirit of Christmas. A page turner with an unpredictable ending. This is a perfect read for anyone who wants a quick story to jump start Christmas!
A heart warming Christmas read that keeps the reader in suspense till the surprise ending. And along the way we learn of kindness, love, and forgiveness.
Sweet easy read. Read it in one day. Makes you feel good.

I semi-predicted the mystery piece of the book based off of a different book I read, but the book was still good. It carried thought-provoking ideas about the choices we make and where we choose to let those choices lead us. Attitudes and behaviors are shown as a direct result of the way people view themselves through others' eyes, yet the "hero" of the book was a very private man that seemed to care more about how he viewed himself as a result of his choices rather than how others' viewed him b
