Fascinating read, written in an easy to follow style that an interested bystander can follow. Separates fact from fiction and a small insight into public health policy.

A really fascinating book. Looking forward to read the author's latest book "Infectious". Easy to read look at 15 of the more common infections encountered in Australia today. The author has spent a large part of his working life dealing with HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases, and this shows in his choice of the diseases examined in the book. Although interesting I would have preferred a wider range of topics. Helpful for those in the field. Not sure how relevant or interesting it would be for non medical readers.

A relevant, informative and well written book. Scientific information is supported by personal stories that assist the reader to better understand the particular disease and disease process. I would encourage individuals who are uncertain of the merits of vaccinations to read this book.
