This book looks at the world of dogs - explaining what "man's best friend" is really thinking. Photographs record mongrels and purebreeds in action - hunting, eating, sleeping and fighting. Each spread shows a particular behaviour, for example territorial or submissive, what the dog is doing and how to read his/her mannerisms. Special boxes compare the same behaviour in a wolf pack. Dr Bruce Fogle writes a monthly column for "Prima" and "Dog Today" magazines.
I really really liked this book because it talked about almost every single breed and things that the breed are known for. I liked how this book wasn't based on one breed ad it talked about breed i didn't even know existed. My favorite part was that the book talked about why the dog has the traits they have today. I also liked how it talked about what dogs were used for/ like thousands if years ago.
