"The ambition says, 'I am the memory that will rut your face. The present tense that races you from place to place.'
The doubt says, "Lie down and I will cover you."

This is my new favorite volume of poetry. Really. It's hard to find such a truthful voice -- disillusionment, desperation and then the closure that yes, it all means something -- it's all translatable into the beautiful.
