This book is the basic handbook received by all members of the John Birch Society, to explain the mission and structure of the Society. It is largely derived from the 2-day seminar which Robert Welch delivered to various business contacts in order to found the JBS. I have rated this book, because my proviso about refusing to rate racist literature does not apply in this case. Books can change lives because some of them help shape the way one thinks and views the world around him. This is one of most important books I have ever read for that reason. I read it as a junior in high school back in 1962 and it changed me forever. I have been a foaming-at-the- mouth anti-communist and conspiracy theorist ever since. Years ago I compiled a booklist for my children entitled "The Ten Books That Have Had The Most Impact On My Life." This book was near the top of that list. It w ...more

Gifted as a child he enrolled in high school at the age of 10 & was admitted to university at the age of 12. He later enrolled & dropped out of Harvard Law School & the Naval Academy.
